This document summarizes a study on the effects of noise pollution on human health in the English Bazar municipality in Malda, India. The study found that noise pollution levels fluctuate throughout the day and are highest near major roads with heavy traffic. It also found that people living near these noisy roads reported greater physiological and psychological impacts like hearing problems, lack of sleep, anxiety, and high blood pressure, especially among age groups 30-59 and 60+. Statistical tests showed significant relationships between noise exposure levels and reported health symptoms in different age groups. The conclusion calls for government action to better control traffic and reduce noise pollution to protect human health.
