This document proposes ethics training in internet cafes to address unethical internet use. It begins by describing the rise of internet cafes and typical users. Most users are male, ages 16-20, and from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Common activities are gaming, chatting and information gathering, though some access porn or gamble. The document then discusses computer and internet ethics emerging with new technologies. Unethical behaviors can include inappropriate use, privacy/security issues, and copyright violations. The proposal aims to educate cafe users and staff on ethical internet use through online or classroom training.
