This webinar discusses Accel-Copy, a data migration solution for Oracle Clinical. It can be used to migrate global libraries, studies, and reference data between environments. The presenter describes how Accel-Copy maintains audit trails and object information during migrations. Examples of business uses include migrating from CROs, refreshing training studies, and archiving frozen studies to save space. Planned updates for 2013 include copying study templates and improving migration of Excel and SQLite files. The webinar concludes with an overview of other BioPharm products.

I O operations in UNIX and Linux systems typically go through the file system cache. Although this doesnt represent a problem in itself, this extra processing does require resources. Bypassing the file system cache reduces CPU requirements, and frees up the file system cache for other non database file operations. Operations against raw devices automatically bypass the file system cache. As a service provider for hit identification, Exquiron needs to offer a state-of-the-art cheminformatics, data analysis and reporting platform to their clients. For historical reasons, this platform was based, until recently, on Accelrys’ PipelinePilot. An effort was started end of 2013 to evaluate and migrate all required workflows to the KNIME platform using the Infocom/ChemAxon nodes. With the help of the ChemAxon consulting team and support from KNIME, complex protocols were successfully migrated to the new environment. The presentation will highlight two specific examples of this effort.
