Research Gap & Research Questions
What might a first draft of an OER maturity model for HEI look like?
A Maturity Model for Open Educational Resources in Higher Education Institutions| Reinken et al.
How do higher education stakeholders evaluate the developed OER maturity
model draft and which necessary adaptions emerge from it?
Use of OER in higher education (HE) has not reached a critical threshold.
Maturity Models can address this problem and serve as a tool for HEI.

Key Results
Survey confirms high relevance of OER maturity model for universities
~85% of the respondents stated the general comprehensibility of the
model as given and good
Number of levels, criteria and dimensions is applicable and
comprehensible
Framework conditions such as technical, didactic, and legal support at
universities are a basic prerequisite for the introduction of OER
Greatest points of criticism were the criteria and their gradations
(wording, comprehension problems, scope for interpretation)
Assignment to a certain level was also classified as difficult
