career and contributed immensely to my personal growth.

One s leadership style is affected by an individual s character. Having the ability to
do what is right even when no one is around. Army values, empathy, warrior ethos,
and discipline are the building blocks of strong character. I will never quit is one of
the four warrior ethos that Theodore Roosevelt embraced. This characteristic trait
helped as a small child being born with debilitating asthma. Although growing up he
never let this slow him down. Roosevelt s father would take him on hikes in the Alps
growing up. After numerous occasions, Roosevelt found that he could keep up with
his father. This instilled in him the knowledge that physical exercise is important and
to have the discipline to never quit. As a leader, I take simple instances like this so

Tim O Brien was told of Rat Kiley s injury second handedly by Mitchell Sanders.
The soldiers heard about a rumor that their enemies were about to attack so they
stayed off the main trails for two weeks calling this the nightlife, (208). Sanders told
O Brien that everyone had a hard time managing with the long walks in the dark
nights but Rat Kiley took it worse than anyone else. This was because Rat Kiley saw
too many deaths in his lifetime that he couldn t go on living the warlife anymore. One
afternoon, before the platoon started to march again, Rat Kiley let his feelings out.

customers from the Elizabeth to New York in low costs. He became famous because
