This document presents a computerized system called the Construction Materials Management System (CMMS) that was developed to help contractors in the Gaza Strip better manage construction materials. The system was built using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. It includes modules for inputting project and materials data, calculating materials needs over time, generating materials requisitions, tracking materials inventory, and controlling waste. The system aims to help contractors determine required material quantities on time to avoid delays and minimize costs. A survey found most Gaza contractors still manage materials manually, so CMMS was evaluated and found suitable to help address common issues around materials availability and procurement.
