• Successfully organise the celebration of world
Environmental Day (WED) from year 2012 to
date.

meeting in South Africa and hosted the 3rd

• Initiated the RCE Minna youth Network to give
the youths a voice in Education for Sustainable
Development (ESD)activities in Minna
• Organised RCE Youth Round Table Discussion with the
aim of bringing together RCE Youth and other youth
organisation to foster strong youth commitment and
action through volunteering to achieve ESD.

• Facilitated the participation of youth to attend the
Youth Unite for Voluntary Action (YUVA) Meet, New
Delhi from 2013-date.
• Participated in the just concluded workshop of
holders of traditional knowledge in India.

using used diapers collected from the
community dumping sites.

13. INTRODUCTION
Every year, boat mishaps occur about four times
in Doron Baga and Borgu, twice in Numan
and Shiroro, three times in Jimeta and Lau,
five times in Ibi, three times in Donga and four
times in Lokoja with loss of lives in at least one
accident per annum

occurred at Guni and Sarkin Pawa rivers in
Muya LGA of Niger State on 21st
August, 2015
