Marine, Stone Crusher etc.
3. CPCB Approved Silent D G sets.
Job Profile: -
 3D Modeling and drawing creation of Engine Components.
 Proto Component Development.
 Reverse Engineering.
 Study the Function and Location of that component in engine with the help of designer.
 Fully Parametric Model creation using Sketcher.
 Preparation of New Drawing, Layouts, Assembly & Modification of Exiting Drawing.
 To coordinate with engine testing for evaluation & validation of product/components.
 To carry out value engineering projects & continuous improvement in product.
 Coordinates engineering activities with other functions (e.g. suppliers, manufacturing, supplier
quality, purchasing) to ensure delivery of product meeting requirements.
 Making of engineering documentation like DFMEA etc.
 Support to field testing team for field testing of engine on tractor.
 Support to manufacturing and quality engineering for routine production and assembly of regular
and new engines.
Development Project:
1. Development of 4 Cylinder diesel engine for Genset with consultancy of AVL- Study of Exhaust
System, Intake System and Crank Train System components of concept engine for manufacturability and
assembly including cost effectiveness, discussion with AVL for desired changes in 3D, Suggestions to
AVL for better cost effective substitute design for component, Releasing relevant drawing for
development of proto components, Resolution of manufacturing constraints at development stage and
incorporating changes in design. Project is under progress and proto drawings are under release till date.
Achievements-
a) On-time drawing release for proto components of Exhaust System, Intake System and Crank Train
System components.
b) Better cost effective solution for rocker assembly components is accepted by AVL and successfully
implemented in the concept engine for final release.
c) Quality check of output drawings before release.
d) Technical support to procurement team / supplier to meet specified requirement of component.
2. Development of 4 Cylinder100kVa and 82.5kVA diesel engine for Genset engine - study of
requirement of cost effective Fuel Injection system for next suitable for 100 and 82.5kVa capacity of
engine to suit market requirement and to achieve CPB -II emission norms. Discussion with FIS
manufacturer to explore suitable FIS, Desired technical input to manufacturer and study of proposal
design, simulation etc. Demonstration of layout requirement and development of FIS to meet engine and
emission requirements. Co-ordination with team members for cost effective design to make engine
suitable to customer expectation.
Achievements- a) drawing released and component manufactured for assy of engine.
b) Very fist engine assembled with FIS
c) Combustion development under progress.
3. Development of 3 Cylinder Air cooled tractor engine- Study of requirement of tractor engine as
supplied by Tractor design team. Identification of existing engine to take as base engine for further
development. Concept development and cost estimation for desired changes. Approval on better option
from senior management. Need identification for component to be modified and required for combustion
optimization to meet tractor HP. Suitable FIS development with BOSCH. Discussion in CFT for proposed
changes. PROTO release of components for development. Study and identification of tests (test matrix)
for engine combustion optimization to suit TREM-IIIA emission norms. Suitable changes in FIS hardware
and in engine hardware to meet tractor layout. Drawing released for pilot lot.
Achievements- a) Engine certified by iCAT for TREM IIIA.
b) Engine tested by tractor team and found suitable for uses.
c) Tractor built with new engine and is under test at Budhni for tractor certification
d) Design released for Pilot lot
e) Company entered in new market segment of air cooled engine of higher range with his application
