World Language Requirement The following schools require a minimum of  two years of the same world language as part of admission: UW-Madison  UW-Eau Claire  UMN-Twin Cities ( recommended by other colleges! )
OTHER POST-H.S.   OPTIONS Wisconsin Technical Colleges Graduation from Muskego High School will meet entrance requirements for all Wisconsin technical colleges Military All branches of the military  require high  school graduation for consideration for enlisting
ADVANCED PLACEMENT CLASSES (AP) Most AP classes are for Grades 10-12 Summer work often required  Not completing summer work is NOT an acceptable reason to drop an AP class in fall!  GPA is weighted .05 for each semester Talk to your teachers!  Know what the expectations will be! Try at least 1 AP class if you are going to a 4 year college!
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Pre- Engineering courses Combines math and science with engineering and technology skills Some engineering schools give advanced standing for successful completion of PLTW courses
Transcripted Credits Higher level academic and vocational courses Prepare students for advanced courses in college Eligible for credit at Waukesha County Technical College or Milwaukee Area Technical College after successful completion

REGISTRATION TIME LINE January 9-16  – Register for classes online Counselors to visit middle schools :  January 10  Lake Denoon January 11  Bay Lane January 11  Parochial Night – MHS Library April  – Confirmation of classes May 1  – Deadline to change classes (on a space available basis) August TBA  - Transition to High School  August 14 & 15  – Pick up schedule, pay fees, picture taken on Registration Day
If you register on January 16 th , you will have the same opportunity for classes as someone who registers on January 9 th . However, if you don’t register by January 16 th , you may not get your first choice of electives.

Opportunity to take career-related courses such as Project Lead the Way; Business; Family & Consumer; Technology, Engineering & Design; Art.  Prepare yourself for the 21 st  Century job market. Students are not able to add classes after the deadline if your request does not meet the schedule change criteria This is another opportunity to increase your rigor, expand your knowledge. and show your true abilities!

  • #15 Specific programs at technical colleges will recommend certain high school courses. For example, it is recommended that you have high school Chemistry with a C or better if you are pursuing Nursing at WCTC. If you do not, you must take chemistry at WCTC, which extends your program at WCTC.
