COMMUNICATING THE VISION FOR BUY-IN          The vision should be communicated in clear and simple terms and all                                             channels should be used.                   It’s important that leaders back up their words with action.
EMPOWERING PEOPLE AND REMOVING BARRIERS                     Having people do their best work by embracing and focusing on                                          the implementation of the vision.
GENERATING SHORT-TERM WINS                                  Short term wins are essential.                  They provide evidence that the sacrifices are paying off                             and will bring more support from all sectors.
DON'T LET UP! New behaviors and practices should be constantly driven to                                         ensure long- term success.  
MAKE IT STICK!               Cultural change is needed and must be reinforced with incentives                                                        and rewards.        The majority of the organization needs to truly embrace the new culture                                               for long-term success.
