• Many factors influencing organization’s ability to
adapt to change
• Interconnectedness of the factors
• Failure to implement planned strategies due to
inattention to the other S’s (factors)
• No starting point or implied hierarchy of which
factors are the driving forces in an organization
• Assess these factors and determine which are
lacking
• Perform tasks needed to fill up lacking factors
and develop capabilities or strengths
