2. Math Mode
• To write mathematical expressions
• Use math mode, signified by delimiters
• $. . . $ or [. . . ].
• Let eq. 1. Einstein’s postulates $E = mc^2$.
• eq. 2 frac command: $frac{x+y}{4}$.

3. • Control font size in math mode
• by using the usual specification before entering
• math mode. For example, {Large $(xdiv y) + z$} ) = (x/y)+z
• Font style
• Does not apply to math mode because math mode has its own, separate
from text mode.
• Can make math fonts boldface by specifying boldmath before entering math
mode.
• For example, {boldmath $x^n+y^n=z^n$}
• {} braces is important
