July 2014-July 2016: Director, Naval Health Clinics, Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, California
Made significant contributions to clinical management and provided seasoned leadership for a staff of 56
personnel with a $304,000 annual budget to provide care for over 8,500 enrolled patients.
Reconstructed appointment processes and implemented best business practices in the clinics which
were directly responsible for a 32% increase in available appointment times and increased positive
patient satisfaction to 94%.
Spearheaded 15 providers to complete 44,700 procedures valued at $2,940,000 with a less than 7%
patient failure rate.
Successfully coordinated 26 Mobile Medical Unit missions on base, treating over 900 patients.

Led 400 personnel in the delivery of ambulatory medical health care services to 17,000 TRICARE
beneficiaries on Joint Base with Department of Defense/Veteran Administration Joint Venture site
designation, with an annual budget of $38,000,000.
Successful collaborative efforts with the Lowcountry Federal Health Care Alliance resulted in three Joint
Incentive and Resource Sharing agreements totaling over 44,000 patient encounters at a recapture rate
of $1,200,000. These agreements were in mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Laboratory, Optometry,
Cardiology and Pharmacy.
Partnered with Director of Health Care Business and Director of Veteran’s Administration to author a
2014 Joint Incentive Fund proposal for Physical Therapy Department, which resulted in a recapture of
$600,000 in less than a year.
Strong mentoring skills leading the clinic staff through a very successful Joint Commission survey with
zero deficiencies noted.
Chairman of the Position Management Board; oversaw the selection and hiring of 24 civilian staff.
June 2008-June 2012: Director, Health Services, Naval Health Clinic, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
Led 260 personnel and managed a $7,500,000 annual budget for five health care facilities on the island.
Piloted the implementation of Medical Home with the standardization of 76 clinic examination rooms,
provider template modification, and reduced appointment types from seven to two. Actions resulted in
increased provider productivity by 11% per encounter and increased available appointments by 21%.
Developed initiatives to create a satellite office for the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program, which
resulted in a 71% decrease in wait time for these services.
Facilitated the establishment of a weekend and holiday walk-in Acute Care Clinic.

Led three branch medical clinics and two dental clinics with a staff of 170 personnel and an annual
budget of $2,200,000.
Benchmark for solving uncoded and unclosed patient encounters which resulted in an 18% increase in
provider productivity captured.
Reorganized and changed the patient appointment schedule templates to increase access to care by
16% and a reduction in patient failure rates to below 8%.
Organized the final planning and execution of the $950,000 interior and exterior structural refurbishment
of the remote San Clemente Island Medical Annex without any disruption in patient services.
During the October 2007 San Diego County Wildfires, organized medical support for 2,400 San Diego
evacuees at two makeshift facilities aboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado.
Led clinic staff through a highly successful Joint Commission survey.
