This document contains a production reflection from Georgina describing her process for several photographs. It discusses using filters and editing tools in Photoshop to manipulate the colors, tones, and lighting of raw photos in order to achieve different aesthetic effects. Specific techniques mentioned include adding sepia or black and white filters, isolating and coloring select portions of layered photos, and adjusting brightness, hue, and saturation levels. 2. Process
This is a very raw image taken on my camera in
black and white, the image is a view from a
bridge looking down at the train tracks between
the trees.
The picture has two separate divisions and that
give you two different ways to look at the
picture
The train tracks disappear off behind the trees
instead of going straight down the picture
The sky doesn't look like they sky because of the
black and white colouring it makes the picture
look like its pasted onto a white background.

3. Process
I took this picture on my phone
then I added a filter to it to make
the picture look like an older
style picture of the River Ouse in
York. Sepia tones add an orange
tint making the picture look older
The picture is angled as to show
how you would view it and shows
how you can walk into the
picture.

4. Process
This is the view of a fair from the
Ferris wheel
The picture is all natural colours with
no edits or filters added to it.
You can see around the edges the
dark where the fair ground ends.
On the sheep picture it is again all raw
natural colurs with the main focus of
the sheep peeking through the grass
that has grown up high.

This is the sun shining over the
Yorkshire moors I have added a filter
to this picture again making it have an
old kind of look (Sepia tones )
The colour change from the front of
the picture to the back makes it eye
catching especially with how big and
bright the sun is coming through the
clouds in the sky.

6. Process
This is a picture of the York minster
hidden by trees there is no edits
added to this picture and no filter.
There is a colour contrast with the
lights and the darks.
The trees make it so the view has to
look hard at the picture to see what is
behind the trees.
It is a raw picture with all the natural
colours.

7. Process
Here we have three close up pictures
of flowers and a rainbow over the
Yorkshire moors.
On each picture I have done the
same thing I have opened Photoshop
and placed the picture I have then
used the lasso tool to go around the
different aspects of the pictures that
are in colour.
After doing that I selected the inverse
layer and changed that to black and
white leaving the highlighted area in
colour.
On each bit of the picture that are in
colour the colour is the natural
colour from the original picture.

8. Process
This is a side view of a horse on the
Yorkshire moors and a close up of a
candle
I took this picture in colour but
decided it would loo better in black
and white so I went onto Photoshop
placed the picture and made it black
and white, after doing that I decided
to change the brightness of the
picture as well.
For the final touches I edited the
hue/ saturation of the picture making
it darker again.
On the candle picture I just changed
the colour to black and white

9. Process
This is a sunset picture over a field
For this picture I have just used
Photoshop to edit the colour by
changing the brightness
By changing the brightness the sky
became more orange and so did the
sun. changing the brightness also
made the tress go darker.
