This document summarizes Garland High School's 2008-2009 STaR Chart ratings. The STaR Chart measures four key areas of technology implementation: teaching and learning, educator preparation and development, leadership/administration/support, and infrastructure. Garland High School received a rating of "Developing Tech" in all areas except infrastructure which was rated "Advanced Tech". Goals are outlined to improve the overall STaR rating to "Advanced Tech", ensure all students have laptops, and provide technology training for teachers.

8. GOALS Improve STaR Rating from Developing Tech to Advanced Tech. Make sure all students on campus have laptops checked out to them at the beginning of the school year. Teach teachers by providing meaningful instruction regarding the use of technology.

9. Summary Provide technology classes for teachers to continue to learn how to implement and use technology in the classroom. Professional development opportunities must be paramount for teachers regarding the use of technology in their content area.
