The document discusses style guidelines for designing products promoting Reggae music and Rastafarian culture. It notes that Reggae style is informal and emphasizes raw aesthetics. Common colors used are red, yellow, and green which represent aspects of African and Jamaican culture important to Rastafarians. The symbol of the lion is also discussed as it relates to the religious figure Haile Selassie. The document then provides a schedule and resources for completing graphic design projects including a poster, album cover, magazine cover, and t-shirt within an 8 day period using Photoshop and online research.

2. Style sheet
Because Reggae has an informal style, the text
is often not professionally place in a product
to emphasis the natural, raw aesthetic of the
product and of what it represents.
The colours that are frequently used are rasta
colour. The red stands for the blood of black
martyrs that were shed around the world
during their struggle for liberation, equal
rights, and justice, the Yellow represents the
wealth of the homeland, Africa, particularly
the gold and finally, green is for the lush lands
of Africa. These colours suit my product
because they are a huge part of Jamacia and
Reggae culture as a whole especially since it is
reconised as a religion and a social movement
by religious scholers.
The symbol of the lion is connected to Haile
Selassie, an emperor of Ethiopia whom the
Rastafarians worship as the Messiah. Not only
does this connect religiously with
Rastafarianism, it also gives off a powerful and
proud mood like on the shirt at the bottom or
a chilled mood like the lion in the middle.
