Ancient Egyptian society was divided into social classes including the pharaoh at the top who was seen as both wealthy and god-like and owned all land and resources. The upper class served the pharaoh while the middle class included servants, cooks, and gardeners and peasants farmed the land. At the bottom were slaves who were often captives and built grand structures like the pyramids under the rule of pharaohs.
