Introduction and Overview
We, as one DepEd family, are working towards one
goal are committed to improve our performance through
the implementation of our learning continuity plan that
would enable all of our learners and teachers more
adequately well-prepared to the challenges of the School
Year 2020 – 2021.

Through the direction of the Division of City Schools of
Batangas, Bonliw Elementary School shall follow the
region’s ICLeA Framework – Intent, Competencies,
Learning Experience, and Assessment.
As one DepEd, we will support the department’s “Sulong
Edukalidad” and the region”s PIVOT QUBE. Bonliw
Elementary School will continue to deliver to our learners
basic education services despite the COVID-19
pandemic and/or other disaster or calamities.

Objective
The Department of Education (DepEd) continues to
support all government efforts towards healing the nation by
remaining committed to the goal of delivering accessible,
quality, and safe basic education services amid these critical
times. It expresses oneness with the Filipino nation in its
fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bonliw Elementary School commits to strengthen our
mandate to support and capacitate our learners in ensuring
continuous basic education while complying to safety and
health standards prescribed in this new normal period.
Further, this Learning Continuity Planning Guide is provided
to support teachers in providing learning opportunities for our
learners during this challenging period.
The school ensures that it can continue to function
throughout disruptive events of Covid-19 crisis.

BES is particularly committed to ensuring that we have the
capabilities to:
1. Attend to pupils and staff safety and well-being,
2. Support vulnerable students who may need special
assistance.
3. Provide continuity of educational opportunities for all
pupils,
4. Ensure that we have sufficient capacity to sustain
our essential criticals,
5. Support to parents and learning centers in planning
and in the implementation of the learning plan;

6. Guidance and orientation to parents and other
stakeholders on what to expect this school year.
This work includes using alternative delivery methods to
provide curriculum instruction and assistance to the learners
and their families, while being responsive to changing
circumstances.
BES have considerable flexibility in the delivery of
educational opportunities in order to meet the unique needs
and circumstances of its learners.

PLAN ADJUSTMENT

BES LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN
Bonliw Elementary School shall undertake to implement
the following components:
1. Ensure learning continuity through K-12 curriculum’s
alignment of learning materials adjustments into Most
Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs),
deployment
of multiple learning delivery modalities,

The use of MELC serve as one of the guidelines for
teachers as they address the instructional needs of the
learners while ensuring that curriculum standards are
maintained and achieved.
2. Adoption of modular approach of teaching and learning,
BES would utilize modular-print instruction as
determined in the LESF survey conducted. The plan is to
seek the help of the Barangay Officials in the distribution
of the modules.

3. Proper orientation of parents or guardians of learners;
Strengthening the partnership with parents and guardians
shall be undertaken to ensure that learning will continue at
home. It would also capacitate teachers, parents/guardians,
and stakeholders to create positive learning environments to
learners at home or community.

4. Plans and procedures to ensure support and
communication to staff, learners, parents, partners and
the community.
To prepare our teachers for this kind of learning delivery,
they shall be capacitated to implement the learning delivery
system, consistent with DepEd’s professional development
framework and professional standards. Support mechanisms
shall also be established to provide teachers to access on-
demand technical and administrative advice and guidance.

Operational plan like enrolment procedure and the need
for strong communication plans and bridging the plan for
quality education especially under its “Sulong Edukalidad”
campaign.
5. Key personnel, vital records and resources required to
ensure the continuation of essential critical activities.
Currently, there are seven (7) teachers, with regular
permanent items and a school head.

Activities that shall require more funding support would
be prioritized. A need to provide substantial and
additional financial resources from known and potential
sources of funds would be sought.

SMS/Messenger to have deeper understanding of
the learning delivery modality and their role in
the new normal.

In conclusion:
Bonliw Elementary School has been a powerful
setting to promote learning. We are experiencing an
unprecedented situation come opening of the classes
on August 24th
, however, this direction reflects the
schools’ desire to stay open and provide the best
possible learning experiences for learners despite
difficult conditions and to implement its programs,
projects and activities amidst this pandemic.
