VISION
The outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID -19) has been declared a public health emergency and the
virus has now spread to many countries and even in the municipality of Don Carlos. While COVID-19
continues to spread it is important that communities take action to prevent further transmission, reduce the
impacts of the outbreak and support the control measures necessary to prevent the potential spread of
COVID-19 in school settings; however, care must also be taken to avoid stigmatizing learners and teachers
who may have been exposed to the virus. It is important to remember that COVID-19 does not differentiate
between borders, ethnicities, disability status, age or gender. Education settings should continue to be
welcoming, respectful, inclusive and supportive environments to all. Measures taken by school can prevent
the entry and spread of COVID-19 by learners and teachers who may have been exposed to the virus, while
minimizing disruption and protecting learners and teachers from discrimination.
With all the health, economic and societal problems that the country is facing, DepEd Secretary Leonor
Magtolis Briones has firmly stood that whatever is happening in the country; whatever challenges we are
facing, EDUCATION MUST CONTINUE.
Old Nongnongan Elementary School dream of Filipinos who
passionately love their country and whose values and competencies
enable them to realize their full potential and contribute
meaningfully in building the nation.
Old Nongnongan Elementary School is a learner-centered public
institution, who continuously improves itself to better serve its
stakeholders.
MISSION
To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable, culture-based,
and complete basic education where:
• Students learn in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating
environment.
• Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner.
• Administrators and staff, as stewards of the institution, ensure an enabling and
supportive environment for effective learning to happen.
• Family, community, and other stakeholders are actively engaged and share
responsibility for developing life-long learners.
