This presentation discusses the methods used and lessons learned from the first phase of the project and how it has informed our strategy to produce geocoders for the years 1867-1930.

Multi-Query Path Planning for Exploration Tasks with an Unmanned Rotorcraft
This paper presents an online multi-query path planner for exploration tasks planned onboard an unmanned helicopter. While the desirable properties of roadmaps can be exploited in offline path planning, the dynamic nature of exploration scenarios hinders to utilize conventional roadmap planners. Hence, the presented path planning approach utilizes a deterministically sampled roadmap which is dynamically indexed in real time. To address situations of partial terrain knowledge, the roadmap can be extended from its a priori dimensions towards locations of unknown terrain that are outside its original, a priori boundaries. The multi-query property of the planning system allows for combinatorial optimization such that a rapidly acting decisional autonomy is achievable during exploration flights. D*-Lite is used as dynamic heuristic path searcher in order to re-plan efficiently. Inspired by the original work on this path search algorithm, the roadmap graph is augmented with an exploration vertex which steers the exploration behavior of the vehicle. As a result, the presented roadmap guides an unmanned rotorcraft through a priori unknown urban terrain in real time.
Review and revision of landscape projects
Al Mashhadani with the PRFD team reviewed landscape concept designs submitted by many developer and consulting companies from 2006 to 2014. This included projects like the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque, irrigation networks in Al Shati City and various parks, the North-Wathba City master plan, resorts and communities, street designs, hospitals, and parks in Abu Dhabi city and Khalifa City. The team provided revisions to landscape materials, plant compositions, and streetscape preliminary designs.

Smart Mapping - How to Create Stunning Maps - Esri UK Annual Conference 2016

The applicant will also need to apply for a variance from the Board of Adjustment in January to allow parking within the required 15-foot landscape buffer.
New Rochelle TOD Study
The TOD Study presented yesterday looked carefully at land use and transportation patterns, and then suggested the general contours for a reshaped downtown. Six potential development clusters were identified, including: the North Avenue Gateway (between Memorial Circle and I-95), the Central Corridor (between I-95 and the Metro-North tracks), Crossroads (the heart of the downtown, near the intersection of Huguenot and North), the West Gateway (where Huguenot and Main meet near Pintard), the East Gateway (around Echo Bay and Faneuil Park), and the I-95 Gateway (near the end of Palmer Avenue.)
