This document describes a circuit that uses a light dependent resistor (LDR) sensor and comparator circuit to automatically turn street lights on at night and off in the morning. The circuit uses the output from the LDR sensor, which detects light levels, and a comparator to control a relay that switches the street lights on and off. It can also be used to automatically control electrical appliances in households based on light levels. Block and circuit diagrams are provided to illustrate how the system works along with a list of required hardware components.
