This document summarizes a research article that studied the effectiveness of blended learning in teaching educational psychology to B.Ed trainees. The study used a quasi-experimental design with 100 student trainees randomly assigned to a control or experimental group. The experimental group received instruction through blended learning (combining face-to-face and online methods) while the control group received conventional face-to-face instruction. Results showed that while pre-test scores did not differ between the groups, post-test scores were significantly higher for the experimental group that received blended learning. This suggests that blended learning is more effective than conventional teaching methods at improving achievement in educational psychology among student teachers.
The Effect of Teachers' Training in Secondary English Teachers' Practice of C...Md. Mehadi Rahman
The study investigates the effectiveness of current teachers' training programs in secondary English teachers practising CLT in Bangladesh. The study follows a mixed design. Secondary trained English teachers were the main data source of the study. The study used an observation protocol for a training session; one questionnaire for teachers, and one
FGD interview schedule for teachers as main sources of data collection. Qualitative data from the interview were used to
triangulate the quantitative data from the questionnaire. One hundred teachers were chosen randomly from twenty secondary schools from Dhaka, Bogura and Rajshahi division.
There were (25) English teachers from five schools who were
chosen purposively for FGD. Result showed that teachers
training has less positive effects on their CLT practice in the
secondary classroom. Through training, teachers understood
the importance of CLT, nevertheless they did not practice CLT properly in the classrooms. Results showed that teachers blamed the mismatch between the assessment system and the
CLT approach for the inability to implement the CLT appropriately. Therefore, the study suggests changing the
current assessment system and increasing support for the trained teachers to practise CLT in the classroom

An Analysis of Competency of Management Teachers in Using Different Teaching ...iosrjce
Teaching methods can be categorised into two broad categories namely teacher – centered approach
and a responsive, collaborative learner – centered approach. The purpose of this study was to understand the
competence of management teachers in using different teaching methods in affiliated colleges in urban
Bengaluru. The objectives of this study was to (i) To analyse the competence level of B-School faculty members
in using the different teaching methods; (ii) To compare the teaching methods of male and female faculty
members of B-School; (iii) To evaluate the teaching methods of B-School faculty with different age groups; (iv)
To assess the teaching methods of B-School faculty having different designation; and (v) To identify the latent
factors that comprises the different teaching methods. A structured self administered survey questionnaire was
developed for data collection. The sampling frame for the study included permanent faculty members working in
University affiliated B-Schools in urban Bangalore. As per the analysis lecture, assignments, seminar and case
study methods were the frequently used teaching methods by the faculty methods; group discussion,
individual/group project, and role play were frequently but not adequately used teaching methods while
simulations, field studies and workshop were the least frequently used teaching methods.
Critical thinking of students is needed in 21st century learning, the fact is the acquisition in the field is still low. Therefore this study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills using the inquiry model assisted with the ethnoconstructivism module. Methodology uses a quantitative design of a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design with a total sample of 64 students taken by purposive sampling technique. There were significant differences in terms of students' critical thinking between the control class and the experimental class. It can be underlined that the inquiry model with ethnoconstructivism has a significant influence on the way students think about cultural values compared to traditional groups.
The Comparative Study Between The Cooperative Learning Model Of Numbered Head...iosrjce
This research aims to explain the differences between the cooperative learning model of Numbered
Heads Together (NHT) and Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to the learning achievement of the
eighth grade students in social subject at SMP Negeri 5 Jombang. The population in this study was 66 students
of the eight grade students in which 33 students from class VIII H. and 33 students from class VIII F. The data
were collected by using observation, interviews and tests. This research applied T-test for data analysis.
The results showed that there is significantly difference on learning achievement of the eighth grade social
studies at SMP Negeri 5 Jombang who are taught by using the cooperative learning model of NHT and STAD.
The result showed that tcount was 2.763, it is higher than the coefficient of table 1.998 at the 5% level of
significant (α) on the value of (df) = (33-1)(33-1) is 64. It implied that tcount> ttable in which 2.763 > 1.998,
therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Finally, It can be
concluded that there is significant difference of the cooperative learning Model of Numbered Heads Together
(NHT) And Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to the learning achievement of the Eighth Grade
Student in Social Subject at SMP Negeri 5 Jombang
This study was carried out in Anambra State. The main purpose of this study was to determine whether any significant relationship exists between principals’ instruction supervision practices and teachers’ job performance in secondary schools in Anambra State. One research question and one null hypothesis guided the study. It adopted the co-relational research design. The population of the study was made up of 6,342 public secondary school teachers in six education zones of the state. The sample for the study was 634 public secondary school teachers in Anambra state. Researchers-developed instrument titled: ‘Questionnaire on principals instructional supervision practices and teachers job performance Questionnaire’ (QPISPTJP) was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts. The reliability of the instrument was established through a trial- test in public secondary schools in Enugu State. The reliability index of the instrument using cronbach alpha method was 0.92 and was deemed high for the study. The researchers administered the instrument directly on the respondents with the help of five research assistants and the Pearson’s Product Moment correlation coefficient was used in the data analysis. Findings indicated that a moderate positive relationship exists between principals instructional supervision practices and teachers job performance. Among others, it was recommended that principals should use instructional supervision as an opportunity to equip their teachers with professional skills and knowledge.

Teachers Teaching Efficacy as a Predictor of Teachers Effectiveness in Nigeri...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: This study examined the role of teaching efficacy as a predictor of teaching effectiveness in Nigeria
through a comprehensive literature review. The focus is on the Nigerian educational system, aiming to shed light
on the multifaceted influence of teaching efficacy on teacher motivation, instructional practices, student
achievement, professional development, and school culture. The goal is to inform educational stakeholders and
policymakers to enhance educational standards and student outcomes in Nigeria. The review underscores the
dimensions of teacher effectiveness, highlighting aspects such as content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge,
classroom management, differentiated instruction, assessment and feedback, relationship building, and continuous
professional development. Several studies in the Nigerian educational context consistently demonstrate a positive
correlation between teachers' self-efficacy and their effectiveness. Teachers with higher self-efficacy exhibit
improved teaching techniques, heightened student motivation and achievement, and greater job satisfaction.
Recommendations based on the literature review include advocating for comprehensive professional development
programs, promoting mentorship and collaboration among educators, fostering supportive school leadership,
integrating research-informed policies into educational practices, and encouraging further research to deepen the
understanding of teaching efficacy and effectiveness within the Nigerian context. The study underscores the
importance of addressing teaching efficacy in educational policies and practices to elevate teaching standards and
improve student outcomes in Nigeria.

Environmental protection awareness refers to the understanding of environmental issues and the
importance of preserving the environment. It involves recognizing the impact of our actions on the
environment and the need for sustainable practices. The objective of this study is to investigate the
impact of environmental protection awareness interventions and strategies, considering locality and
media influence, on the environmental attitude of secondary school students. The study adopted a single
group pre and post-test experimental design method. In this study, a purposive sampling method was
used, selecting a focused group of 50 students from St. Joseph’s Matriculation School in Dindigul. This
study utilized various statistical techniques, including mean and standard deviation calculations for
dataset analysis. The t-test was used for comparing pre and post intervention scores, and percentage
analysis was conducted for understanding attitude changes. The study found that the environmental
education intervention positively influenced secondary school students' environmental attitude. After the
intervention, there was an overall increase in environmental attitude scores, indicating voluntary
participation in environmental activities, sharing of environmental knowledge, and preference for
environmentally-friendly products.
Mobile phones are a dominant form of information and communication technology, with India ranking second in the
global telecommunication market. Most individuals start using mobile phones from the age of 12 and technology
becomes an integral part of their lives. This research studied the impact of mobile phone use on the academic
performance of secondary school students in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh. The study adopted a
descriptive survey research method with a sample size of 40 students from 4 selected schools, each contributing 5
boys and 5 girls by using stratified random sampling technique. A self-constructed scale with four points, referred to
as a Likert-type scale, entitled "Mobile Phone and Students’ Academic Performance of Secondary School
questionnaire, was employed in order to evaluate the utilization of mobile phones as well as the students’ academic
performance of secondary schools. The study's results showed significant impacts of mobile phone use on the
academic performance of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It pointed out the negative effects of their usage,
such as distractions in academic work, health issues, and time loss. However, the study establishes that appropriate
usage of cellular device can provide benefits in academic performance.

The term "collaborative learning" (CL) refers to a broad range of educational strategies including the combined intellectual efforts of teachers and pupils. Students are typically required to work in groups of two or more, looking together for understanding, answers, or meanings or producing a product. People will be able to collaborate with someone far away just as readily as they would with someone in the same room thanks to the usage of ICT in CL. E-collaboration tool enable users to contribute a variety of abilities to group projects that remove time, distance, and resource limitations. Face-to-face engagement is still important, but ICT can enhance it by enabling communication at any time and from any location. ICT functions for group work coordination, tools for tracking progress and providing feedback, libraries of solutions and best practises, as well as meta data, are all available as collaborative technologies. In order to facilitate collaborative learning in all areas of education, the following technological tools can be used: wiki, online forums, chat, video conferencing, email, blogging, learning management systems, virtual classrooms, Sticky notes, etc.
The term ÄJerk Technology (JT) is widely used to get the attention of the learners and provides the
active, lively, interactive classroom atmosphere. Jerk Technology breaks out the boredom way of
traditional teaching by implementing the active learners. Each learner is unique and the way of
learning is divergent because of an Individual difference (Shobana.S, 2014). In teaching – learning
process, attention plays a vital role which the source for transferring the knowledge. The overall
outcomes of the study show that the effect of Jerk can use easily without any strain for teaching
grammar. The main purpose of the study is to find out the ÄEffect of Jerk Technology in Teaching of
Grammar among Higher Secondary School StudentsÇ. The researchers adopted a single group pre
and post - test design. The sample for the present study is of 32 pupils selected from the Government
Model Higher Secondary School, Allinagaram, Theni District. The pre – test is conducted using the
traditional fact to face instruction, but the post test is conducted using effect of Jerk Technology (JT).
The statistical procedures were employed descriptive analysis, mean S.D and t – test. The findings of
the study reveals that implementation of Jerk Technology is very effective for teaching Grammar.
Hence, the Jerk Technology (JT) is potentially the most powerful tool for extending platform in

to the provision of quality education. Application of ICT, e-
learning, m-learning global informational and educational
resources should contribute to the improvement of the current
situation in education. For future the competencies for ICT in
education should be considered. In view of the fact that
teacher expertise becomes more and more important, Blended
learning in education should continuously facilitate teacher
expertise in teaching and learning. Hence it is the demand of
hour that the teacher should be sound towards the use of
Blended learning. Blended learning has some primary benefits
which include enhanced learning performance, improved cost
effectiveness, more effective pedagogy, course access at one’s
convenience, reduction in physical class or space needs,
increased opportunities for human interaction and contact, and
more participation for introverts (Bonk and Graham, 2006).
Statement of the problem
Education must be lifelong. It should help people to
develop the knowledge, values, attitudes and skills necessary
to earn a livelihood. It should also help the individual to
develop a sense of place and community, grounded in the
local, but embracing the world. Teacher cannot fulfill the
individual needs of every learner so teacher has to adopt
modern strategy to fulfill needs of individual learners. Blended
learning is the best option both the students and teachers
which helpful the right learning from right place so present
study is entitled “Effectiveness of Blended Learning in
Enhancing the Achievement of Educational Psychology
among B.Ed Trainees”.
Variables of the study
The independent variable of this study is the blended
learning. The dependent variable is the achievement of
student’s trainees’ in Educational Psychology.
Objectives
To find out the effectiveness of both conventional way of
face-to-face and blended learning instruction for
Educational Psychology.
To compare the Mean posttest scores of experimental and
control groups to see the effectiveness of blended learning
strategy on the achievement in Educational Psychology.
Hypotheses
There is no significant difference between pretest means
score of control and experimental group.
There is no significant difference between posttest means
score of control and experimental group.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The Quasi experimental design adopted for this study.
The equal randomization group of control (n=50) and
experimental group (n=50). Blended mode of instruction was
selected for the experimental group, traditional face-to-face
mode of instruction was selected for the control group. A new
innovative instructional strategy design was utilizes for the
experimental and conventional method adopted for control
group. The ‘t’ test was employed the to find out the means
score of achievement in educational psychology of
experimental and control group.
Treatment
The Student teacher studying B.Ed in Usha
Latchumanan College of Education, Thirukkanur, Puducherry
UT; A totally 100 samples were selected from section A and
Section B using randomsampling technique. The investigators
created free website (www.circlebad/deivammuniyandi.com)
uploaded materials on website and in addition to created
facebook group ULCBED and invited all the students join in
ULCBED group. The investigators was taught face-to-face
instruction for control group and Face-to-face instruction
(lecture method, group discussion, cooperative method, peer
tutoring) and online based instruction (prerecorded video
posted, PowerPoint, word document, PDF, Online quiz, email
chatting, online assignment using Facebook) for experimental
group. This experiment was administered totally 2 months,
after the treatment investigators conducted post test of control
and experimental group.
Sample
A total of 100 student teachers were selected from
Usha Latchumanan College of Education, Thirukkanur,
3. Puducherry UT using simple random sampling techniques.
There are two sectional available Section A and Section B,
Blended learning strategy was taught to Experimental group
(Sectional B) and Conventional Face-to-Face instruction was
taught to Control group (Section A).
Fig 1.1 Steps followed in the study
Tool
The investigator prepared and structured an
achievement test in Educational Psychology. Pre-test consists
of 10 objective type questions, ten short answer questions and
four essay types question included. The test was administered
totally for 50 marks, unit test 1 and 2 of Pondicherry
university syllabus of Learning for human development. Post-
test consists of 50 objective type questions taken knowledge
15, Understanding 20, application 11 and skill 4 from three
units such as intelligence, personality, guidance and
counseling
Data Analysis
Hypothesis 1: There is no significant difference between pretest
means score of control and experimental group.
Table 1.1 ‘t’ value of pretest scores of Control and Experimental
group
Name of test Samples Mean SD ‘t’ Remarks
Pretest Control group 50 25.74 3.66 1.79 0.05 Level
*Not
significant
Pretest experimental
group
50 26.72 2.33
NS - Not significant at 0.05level
Fig. 1.2 Mean Pretest Scores of Control and
Experimental group
The calculated value of ‘t’ is not significant at 0.05 level of
significance. It is concluded that the control and experimental
group student teachers do not differ in their achievement in
educational psychology in Pre test. Table 1 reveals that mean
pre-test scores of experimental and controlled groups are 26.72
and 25.74 respectively. The obtained ‘t’ value (t = 1.79) is
insignificant at 0.05level which shows that there is
insignificant difference in achievement of student teacher in
education psychology of experimental and control groups. The
mean pretest scores of experimental and controlled groups are
25.74 and 26.72 respectively. Thus first hypothesis ‘There is
no significant difference between pretest means score of
experimental and control group’ is accepted.
Hypothesis 2: There is no significant difference between
posttest means score of control and experimental group.
Table 1.2 ‘t’ value of posttest scores of Control and
Experimental group
Name of test Samples Mean SD ‘t’ Remarks
Posttest Control group 50 32.98 1.38 15.11 0.05 Level
**SignificantPosttest experimental
group
50 38.46 2.22
** Significant at 0.05 level.
Fig 1.3 Mean Posttest Scores of Experimental and Control
Group
The calculated value of ‘t’ is significant at 0.05 level
of significance. It is concluded that there is significant
difference between the experimental and control group student
teachers in their achievement in Educational Psychology. This
makes it obligatory to reject the above said null hypothesis.
The experimental group students are at a higher level than the
control group students in their achievement in educational
psychology. So above null hypothesis was rejected.
4. Table 2 reveals that mean posttest scores of
experimental and control groups are 38.46 and 32.86
respectively. The obtained ‘t’ value (t=15.11) is significant at
0.05 level. From the above interpretation of results it was
found that the mean posttest scores of experimental group
were significantly higher than that of the control group and
significant difference exists between the mean posttest scores
of experimental and control groups. The mean posttest scores
of experimental and control groups are 38.46 and 32.86
respectively. It reveals that the mean posttest scores are in
favor of experimental group. It means the student teachers
taught through blended learning strategy showed better
performance than the student teachers taught through
controlled method.
Findings
In the light of above statistical analysis the main
findings of the study are given below:
The performance of student teachers in both the
groups i.e experimental and control groups do not differ in the
pretest achievement scores. The performance of students in
Mean posttest scores of the experimental group i.e with
blended leaning is higher than the Mean posttest scores of the
control group i.e with conventional method. The students of
the experimental group of the experimental group were
looking well and more motivated and ready to learn each day
of experimental duration of blended learning treatment than
student teachers of the control group.
Conclusion
Blended Learning is best option, more effective
pedagogy, student fully engaged learning, students control
over the learning, when he can learn decided himself/herself.
Experimental group achievement scores was high than that of
the control group (Devaki and Muthuraj, 2015). Comparison
of the effect of lecture and blended teaching methods on
students learning and satisfaction. Satisfaction of blended
learning method was higher than lecture method (Sadeghi,
Sedaghat and Sha Ahmadi, 2012). The study shows that the
blended learning strategy plays an important role in improving
the achievements of educational psychology among student
teachers. So a teacher should use blended leaning strategy in
teaching in the classroom which can make her task easier and
students can achieve better.
