Cerebellum is not just muscle memory but also coordinates the ability to change your mind and maneuver your thoughts.
Teens produce theirs’ later in the day.Result: go to bed later, wake up later.Teens needed to take risks: leaving home or the “tribe” to explore and find new homes/territories.Teens are social to interact with their peers as they will be the ones to run society when they are adults. Teens brains are not quite as fast at processing information as adults but are faster at learning due to delayed myelination of neurons.
