3. PILLAR ONE: OUTCOMES
 You have to measure, improve, and communicate your outcomes. And they
have to be good!
 Outcomes in three categories:
 Clinical- Are your clinical outcomes good and are they improving?
 Financial- Are your financial outcomes (your metrics) good, sustainable, and
growing?
 Personal- Refers specifically to your staff, are they better off as people for working
for your company?

4. PILLAR TWO: SERVICE
 Healthcare companies exist to provide a service that provides value to
someone's life.
 You should exist for the service of:
 your patients- how good is your customer experience?
 your community- have you made a massive impact in your community?
 your staff- would your staff report that you serve them regularly?
 What are you doing to serve those three segments and how are you
measuring your effectiveness?

5. PILLAR THREE: REVENUE
 Without revenue you don't exist.
 Top line revenue- is it improving, why or why not?
 Bottom line revenue- is it improving, do you analyze why or why not on a
regular basis?
 Revenue giving- A portion of your revenue should be given away, what is your
charitable giving strategy?
