Narayanpet: Amid the
MLA poaching contro-
versy, Congress leader
Rahul Gandhi has hit
out at the Telangana
Rashtra Samithi (TRS)
and the BJP stating that
both parties are two
sides of the same coin
and are against demo-
cratic values and in-
dulge in politics of
money
. He accused both
the TRS and BJP of
horse-trading and top-
pling governments. “I
would like to say clearly
here that, for us, BJP
and TRS are the same.
TRS helps BJP in Delhi
and BJP helps TRS in
Telangana. Both parties
are against democracy
and indulge in the poli-
tics of money. They do
money politics by buy-
ing MLAs and both par-
ties work to topple the
government,” the Con-
gress leader said.
Rahul Gandhi started
the march on Friday
from Yeligandla in
Narayanpet district of
Telangana and Friday
was the third day of the
yatra in the state. The

PM MOOTS IDEA OF “ONE NATION, ONE UNIFORM” FOR POLICE
PM Modi said the identity of the police force across the country should be identical. Address-
ing the Chintan Shivi, he floated the idea of ‘one nation, one uniform’ for police’. Modi said
he wasn’t forcing the idea on any state but the ministers must give it a thought. He thought this
could happen over a long time. Elaborating on his idea, he said this would help manufactur-
ers to make a quality product due to the large scale involved and it would also give the law
enforcement personnel a common identity so that they can be identified in all states.

INDIAN CEO AGRAWAL SHOWN DOOR?
Parag Agrawal, 38, was appointed Twitter CEO in Novem-
ber last year after the social media site’s co-founder Jack
Dorsey had stepped down. An IIT Bombay
and Stanford alumnus, Agrawal had joined
Twitter over a decade ago when there were
fewer than 1,000 employees at the company.
“Agrawal, who was appointed Twitter’s chief
executive last year, had clashed” with Musk
“publicly and privately in recent months about the takeover,”
the NYT report said.

New Delhi: The ap-
pointment of DGP
Umesh Mishra has sent
a ‘political message’ to
the state bureaucracy as
well. And the message
clearly states : Ashok
Gehlot will remain the
Chief Minister till 2023
and the 2023 assembly
election will be fought
under his leadership. In
fact, the Rajasthan po-
lice officials had been
waiting for the corona-
tion of Umesh Mishra
for the past several days
because this was also a
‘measuring point’
which would settle the
‘conerns’, once and for
all, that Gehlot woul
continue and thus,
Mishra’s appointment
has made the picture
crystal clear.
Mishra has been
handed this major re-
sponsibility on the basis
of merit and loyalty and
his term will last till Oc-
tober 2024. After the ap-
pointment of DGP, now
Gehlot can take another
big decision to make po-
litical appointments in
14 UITs.
In fact, this move,
along with the transfer
of 30 IAS on Friday, is
being seen as a major
step towards ‘Good
Governance’! Gehlot
took major administra-
tive steps before leav-
ing for Gujarat and con-
ducted addjustment
according to seniority
and qualification.

Does this ED (Eknath Shinde-Devendra
Fadnavis) government belong to Maharashtra
or Gujarat? This government claimed that the
Vedanta-Foxconn project went to Gujarat due to the
earlier MVA government. Now because of whom did this
project (Tata Airbus) go to Gujarat?
—Ambadas Danve, LoP, Maha Legislative Council
We can see
industrial-
ists do not
have confidence in
this ‘khoke sarkar’
(govt formed out of
bribery worth crores
of rupees) and that is
why every investment
which was supposed
to come to Maharash-
tra is now moving to
other states.
—Aditya Thackeray,
former minister
It is clear that
Shinde and Fad-
navis are traitors
of Maharashtra who is
promoting the interests of
Gujarat. Maharashtra has
the largest industry in the
country. Prime Minister
Modi worries that Gujarat
is behind Maharashtra.
That is why ever since he
became the Prime Minis-
ter, he has planned to shift
important projects and
institutions in Maharash-
tra to Gujarat.
—Nana Patole, President,
Maharashtra Pradesh
Congress Committee
The agreement
to build Tata Air-
bus’s cargo plane
in Baroda, Gujarat was
done on 21 September
2021. At that time, there
was no Shinde-Fadnavis
government in the state,
rather Uddhav Thackeray-
led MVA government
was at helm. The Aghadi
government did nothing
to bring this project to
Maharashtra.
—Uday Samant, Maha-
rashtra Industries Minister
CM Shinde had clearly said that the Tata Air-
bus project to build C-295 military transport
aircraft will come to Nagpur after Vedanta-
Foxconn exited. But the false role of Eknath Shinde has
now come to the fore. BJP has made Shinde the chief
minister only to transfer mega projects from Maharash-
tra to Gujarat. Eknath Shinde should also resign like Liz
Truss. —Mahesh Cheche, Spokesperson, NCP

ndia’s first geneti-

mustard has been ap-
proved for seed pro-
duction before it is
approved as the country’s first
indigenous hybrid mustard and
released for commercial purpos-
es. This will be a major step to-
wards increasing the production
of oilseeds for which the country
is heavily import- dependent.
Against an annual production of
around 8.5 million tonnes of ed-
ible oil, India imports around
14.5 mt of edible oil to meet its
domestic demand of edible oil.
Genetically modified crops
have met stiff resistance from
farmers and environmentalists.
The first to be opposed tooth and
nail was Bt cotton despite sui-
cides by cotton growers due to
crop losses. Once introduced in
2002 the insect and pest resistant
crop has benefited farmers by
cutting expenditure on insecti-
cides and increased production.
As controversial as Bt cotton
was Bt brinjal the commercial re-
lease of which was foiled by envi-
ronmentalists. The GM mustard
may also require government

derstand that transgenic crops

Promoted by
Suvasa Apparel and Furnishing Pvt. Ltd.
he word accountability is giv-
en least importance in India.
Employees work hard at their
work place but they don’t care
how much contribution their
hard work is adding to their
organization profit. The con-
cern of “profit” merely re-
mains till the promoters and
the finance department. The
marketingandmanufacturing
department primarily con-
tribute to business and prod-
uct generation. While other
departments of any organiza-
tion identify themselves as a
support function, which is not
correct. Be it be HR Depart-
ment, supply chain depart-
mentorthemarketingdepart-
ment,eachdepartmentandits
headmustactasprofit-centric
head for their organization.
What should be the role of
the head of the department
and how they can work as
profit centric head, let’s take
a look. It is usually the head
of the Department who has to
look up to the administrative
affairs of his department.
Generally
, what a head of de-
partment does is that he mon-
itors his department and em-
ployees working under him
perform better than other
departments of the company
.
Often, it is also possible that
the head of the department is
superior to all of his employ-
ees just to show to the man-
agement, to resort to internal
constraints and policies and
to compete with others. A
healthy competition between
the two departments offers
good productivity in the com-
pany, but in the competition
to prove themselves superior
an atmosphere of internal
clashes and stress is created.
When we say that the head
of the department should act
as the profit center head, the
meaning of the concept is to
changethewholemindsetand
perspectiveof thedepartment
towardsthecompany
.Theday
when the departmental heads
start working considering the
point of view of the top man-
agements and focus on how
their departments can con-
tribute to the company’s di-
rectgrowth,theycanbecalled
the best departmental head.
The head of the department
should work with the employ-
ees of their department in
such a way that each and eve-
ry employee of the depart-
ment can share their contri-
bution and show involvement
in the company’s growth.
LET’S CONSIDER
AN EXAMPLE
Henry Ford, who was the own-
er of the world famous Ford
Company
, had a different vi-
sion and way of working from
that of other promoters. He
used to hold regular meetings
with all the heads of depart-
ments,hislessonswerespecial
for all the employees. He also
sometimes used to interact di-
rectly with the employees and
said, “Life is the Ocean of Ex-
periences!” every experience
teach and inspire us to do
somethingnew.Healsousedto
say to his employees, do what-
ever you want to do it with
yourheartandfulldedication.
By doing things with heart
special contributions can be
made to the organization.
Henry always advised his
departmental heads that if
theyareabletogivelong-term
and positive vision to the em-
ployees and show them how
they can contribute and be a
partner in company’s growth
thenyouareanexcellentlead-
er. The easiest way to achieve
this is to create a sense of
ownership spirit in every em-
ployee. Every work profile
should be respected and every
work should be done from
heartwillfulldedication.And
the person who works with
proper dedication will be-
come a partner in the com-
pany’s growth in true senses.
The heads of each depart-
ment should recognize the
strengths of their employees
and distribute the work ac-
cordingly. Henry always ad-
vised employees saying, “Di-
vide your wok into small
targets, this will make easy
for you to reach the goal. This
will help you achieve big tar-
gets.” If you take a look away
from your goal then it means
that you have lost control to
reach your goal and you need
to focus. The most difficult
and effortful work is to make
every employee of your team
to work in team. If this is an
easy task for you then you
come out as a good leader but
if you are weak leader then
employees will not associate
themselves with your vision.
The conclusion of the dis-
cussion comes out to be that
the head of the department
should make every employee
of his team participate in the
company’s work keeping in
mind their vision and goals.
Some tips.
 The head of each department
should check their employ-
ees to work in a team.
 The head of the department
should work together with
other heads and participate
equally in the company’s
growth.
 The head of the department
should check how each em-
ployee can participate in the
company’s growth and distrib-
ute the work accordingly.
 It is the responsibility of the
departmental head to see
that every employee looks
after their work and works
towards progress.

Surajkund (PTI):
Prime Minister Naren-

that may come in the
way of adoption of tech-

He said the criminal
world has globalised and

crime is no longer local-

interstate, international

“That is why mutual

crucial,” Modi said.
He said whether it is

Swami, Vikas S. Bhale,
L. N. Mantri and Suneel
Sharma have been giv-
en new responsibilities.
Notably, DoP has ‘taken
care’ of senior IAS Shi-
khar Agrawal and
handed him the addi-
tional charge of a major
department like Water
Resources, thus making
him the most powerful
bureaucrat among his
peers. In the past he has
handled the depart-
ment and handing him
the reins yet again, is
beyond understanding.
Krishna Kunal was
on a ‘cold bag’ posting
in Election department
for long time and hand-
ing him the additional
charge of Animal Hus-
bandry, Fisheries, Go-
palan and Minorities
department is a sur-
prising move. Handing
the additional charge of
RUDSICO to Hridesh
Kumar Sharma, the
DoP has honoured the
official’s abilities.
The position of Regis-
trar, Cooperatives is
considered an impor-
tant position in the state
government and nearly
half a dozen IAS were
lobbying for this post. It
was thought that a
youngandenergeticIAS
would be transferred to
this post but, for the
time being, the charge
has been handed over to
Meghraj Singh Ratnu.
It seems that com-
plaining against AAG R.
P. Singh has cost dearly
to Sandeep Verma,
whose work style, per-
haps, doesn’t match
with the current govt.
Vaibhav Galriya, who
was comfortably
perched in Medical Dept
 even minister Parsadi
Lal Meena couldn’t re-
move him, has now been
transferred handed
the reins of another im-
portant department i.e.
PWD. Minister Bhajan
Lal Jatav had put
Naveen Mahajan in
dock it is believed that
Vaibhav won’t be able to
do much either, basical-
ly because of minister’s
intervention in day- to-
day affairs of the de-
partment.

JAIPUR, SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 29, 2022
Adding a jacket to any ensemble gives it charm and makes one look
sophisticated and classy. Any ensemble that incorporates ethnic jackets
gains magic and becomes an occult statement item. City First brings to
you the significance of jackets in the ethnic world!
ashion is what you adopt when
you don’t know who you are. In-
dian fashion is wonderful. ash-
ion is what you adopt when you
don’t know who you are. Indian
fashion is wonderful. Every en-
chanted flower, each brisk
breeze, each wintry snowfall, the end-
less hours and agonising efforts it takes
to complement the wearer’s style like
Indian girls themselves. You can style
ethnic jackets anyplace and however,
you choose. An ordinary outfit can be-
come a standout piece by adding an eth-
nic jacket. Three different jacket styles
can be worn over a saree - long jackets,
short jackets and medium-sized jackets.
This modern way of wearing a saree
with a jacket makes it another designer
ensemble in and of itself. There are two
ways to wear it, either inside like a
blouse and wrapping the pallu over the
jacket, or outside like a jacket over a sa-
ree pallu. Again, the body form is what
immediately lends a glam appearance.
Indian design is complex. Go for a
black skirt and blouse combo with a
colourfully embroidered short jacket
if you’re having trouble deciding
what kind of jacket to wear with what
colour. This instantly creates a ritzy
appearance that can be worn for any
celebratory occasion.
Who in the world will say no to
pairing an ethnic embroidered
jacketwithafull-lengthAnarka-
li kurta? Some embroidery
jackets are finely made with
alluring details in them giving
a classy yet posh wedding-
ready look. When you have a
straightforward Anarkali
suit and a stylish jacket with
an all-over body sequence, it
is pure happiness.
Traditional jackets are
also frequently worn by
people who seek to give
their appearance a sense of
authority and power. Such
jackets were worn by the
royals of Western India
during those grand cele-
brations and ceremonies.
See how the same kurta set
can give you a light look
when worn alone or a weighty
look when worn with a jacket
that has delicate sequin em-
broidery. For women or girls
who want to achieve two
looks with one dress, this
three-piece set is perfect.
The same attire can be
transformed into a du-
al-look outfit. By sim-
ply mixing and match-
ing the components
of an outfit, it is pos-
sible to dress Indian
wear in a variety of
ways. By experi-
menting, you can
generate a wide va-
riety of fashion
trends. Just start
with the ethnic
jackets if you
wish to incorpo-
rate new things
into your fashion
sense. Jackets
over ethnic are
the finest work
wear for a girl
who likes to
style her ordi-
nary work
clothing in a
c o n t e m p o -
rary way.

RISHI SUNAK: PIONEERED
THE WORLD STAGE
THE WORLD STAGE
hen Shake-
speare, the
great play-
w r i g h t ,
penned his
i m m o r t a l
words “ALL
THE WORLD’S A
STAGE”, his view was
limited to a metaphor. He
could not have imagined
that a young, skinny
Hindu would become the
PM of the UK and pio-
neer a new World Stage
for generations to follow.
The meteoric rise of
Rishi Sunak to the high-
est office in Great Brit-
ain is being hailed the
world over, albeit
through deviating
prisms. Sadly, in some
dark minds, his rise is
being seen as a body
blow and a conspiracy
against the whites.
But, as a matter of
fact, his rise is the cut-
ting edge of human evo-
lution, for it has pushed
mankind many miles
closer to that distant uto-
pia where man nature
will coexist in eternal
bliss.
While Indians are cel-
ebrating pluralism in a
country that ruled over
them for 200 years, they
are letting monism crawl
out at home. Coloured
people are feeling some-
what vindicated that
their skin shade is noth-
ing but a pigment of the
imagination.
What Sunak
really
represents is the tri-
umph of core human
values of hard work, in-
tegrity and learning.
He has proven that the
barriers of religion
colour are high only for
the mediocre. To step
over them with alacrity,
sangfroid the confi-
dence of a Barack, Ri-
shi, Manmohan or Lal
Bahadur, one has to be-
come taller in character,
professional integrity
wisdom, all honed by
quality education. Such
personalities belie the
excuses, alibis and self-
justifications of the lazy
and corrupt.
Having said that, for
such efforts to fructify,
the ground of liberal
thought (democracy) is a
prerequisite, even if
partly tilled. Is it any
surprise that such leaps
are well nigh impossible
in autocratic or theocrat-
ic states? Only democra-
cies, the crucibles of lib-
eral thought, can make it
possible. They welcome
pure talent integrity to
break their fossilized
thoughts on colour, reli-
gion etc and cement
their democratic values.
Rishi Sunak
has enkindled
many a flame
across the world
stage. He has add-
ed fuel to a mil-
lion burning spir-
its who can now dare
to dream big !!
Just as electricity, a
miracle once, is now the
most common utility in
our lives, so too would
that stage be that
Rishi has
set up so adroitly
.
For thousands of
years, Mt.Everest stood
unconquered, until the
young Edmund Hillary
climbed it in 1953. Ever
since, in 69 short years,
more than 6,000 have
climbed that peak., with
one Nepali Sherpa mak-
ing 26 ascents !! By the
way, his name is Kami
Rita, in case his effort
has been lost in the dust
of that oft-tread path !!
Even though the irre-
pressible comics cyn-
ics will add grist to their
humour rumour mills,
they can never take
away the breathtaking
conquest of Rishi Su-
nak, the 57th PM of
Great Britain, once the
biggest empire the world
has known. The trail he
has blazed will make it
easier for the ones who
are sure to emulate his
extraordinary feat.

note for her alongside an unseen photo of them to-

lipped about the relationship but Siddharth's birth-
day message for Aditi speaks volumes about their
true love. Happy Happy Happy Birthday Princess of
Heart @aditiraohydari I pray all your dreams, the big
ones, the small ones, and the ones yet unseen, always
come true, always for you. Have the best trip
around the sun yet. P.S- growing up is for squares.
Don't!, read his Instagram caption for Aditi. Although they have not of-
ficially confirmed their relationship according to the sources they
have been seeing each other for a long time. They fell in love on sets
of Ajay Bhupathi's Maha Samudram and since then have been
spending time together.

anhvi Kapoor doesn't stop inspiring. With
every movie promotion, she comes to
make statements with her looks. Glam-
our is at the heart and soul of it all and
to do it once again with Mili came to us as no
revelation, our eyes are lovin' it. The actress
is primarily paying pretty and flawless trib-
utes to ethnic ensembles and we love how this
Monika Nidhii saree got itself hooked
onto her style list.
Trust to deliver the best with the
25-year-old's latest look. In her case,
it was striking with colours and it is
good for when you want something
colourful such as a wedding or a
puja attendee. This lime green crea-
tion isn't a clichéd hue, the top
reason why this look is worth ref-
erencing and giving it a first pref-
erence will read triumph.

anticipated movies of the year.
Now, ahead of Bhediya's theatrical
release, the makers of the horror-comedy
movie have finally unveiled the first
song, titled, Thumkeswari. Composed by
Sachin-Jigar and penned by Amitabh
Bhattacharya. The track is sung by
Sachin-Jigar, Rashmeet Kaur and Ash
King. Kriti took to her social media handle
and shared the song, she wrote: The big-
gest thumka anthem of the year is here!
#Thumkeshwari is out now. #Bhediya. In
Thumkeshwari, Varun and Kriti can be flaunt-
ing their thumkas, not just that, Shraddha
Kapoor aka Stree also made a special
appearance in the song.

the fashion league and it all packs a punch
given the patterns and fabrics. Styled and put
together in wonderful ways, they looked like a
winning team. All in warmed-up and chic perfection,
their outfits are giving strong desi realness that
could be your formula too for weddings and gath-
erings ahead.
The family was dressed up in spectacular Fal-
guni and Shane Peacock designs in the latest Ins-

elation that bright hues like neon, pink, orange,
yellow and so on aren't always the winners. The

  • 1. Narayanpet: Amid the MLA poaching contro- versy, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has hit out at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the BJP stating that both parties are two sides of the same coin and are against demo- cratic values and in- dulge in politics of money . He accused both the TRS and BJP of horse-trading and top- pling governments. “I would like to say clearly here that, for us, BJP and TRS are the same. TRS helps BJP in Delhi and BJP helps TRS in Telangana. Both parties are against democracy and indulge in the poli- tics of money. They do money politics by buy- ing MLAs and both par- ties work to topple the government,” the Con- gress leader said. Rahul Gandhi started the march on Friday from Yeligandla in Narayanpet district of Telangana and Friday was the third day of the yatra in the state. The yatra halted at Maha- bubnagar on Friday. Addressing the gath- ering through video conferencing at the con- cluding session of the two-day ‘Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers’ of all states that started on Thursday, the PM said that the event is a prime example of “coopera- tive federalism”. He said, “even though law and order are the re- sponsibilityof thestates as per the constitution, they are equally related to the unity and integri- ty of the country .” He said that during the Amrit Kaal, an Am- rit generation will emerge carrying the es- sence of the ‘Panch Pran’– advance with greater conviction. More on P6 In past few years, all governments have acted responsibly to demolish ground network of terror. We need to handle it by combining our forces. We will have to defeat all forms of Naxalism - be it gun-totting or pen-wielding, we will have to find a solu- tion for all of them. It’s 5G era, we have to be 10 steps ahead of crime world,” PM Modi calls for smart law and order system Be smart, formulate ‘common technol- ogy’ to check crime, improve policing —Narendra Modi, Prime Minister PM MOOTS IDEA OF “ONE NATION, ONE UNIFORM” FOR POLICE PM Modi said the identity of the police force across the country should be identical. Address- ing the Chintan Shivi, he floated the idea of ‘one nation, one uniform’ for police’. Modi said he wasn’t forcing the idea on any state but the ministers must give it a thought. He thought this could happen over a long time. Elaborating on his idea, he said this would help manufactur- ers to make a quality product due to the large scale involved and it would also give the law enforcement personnel a common identity so that they can be identified in all states. TRS, BJP two sides of same coin: RaGa in Telangana People living in border areas are India’s strategic assets:Rajnath 90 days,1.80 Lakh crore lost! Maharashtra’s‘Maha-crisis’! Kartikey Dev Singh Mumbai: The Maha- rashtra govt has come under fire following the Centre’s announcement that Tata-Airbus C-295 transport aircraft pro- ject would be set up in Gujarat, with the Oppo- sition seeking to know why the project that was supposed to come up in Maharashtra went to the neighbouring state. The project wasn’t the only one which has moved out of state rath- er in approximately 90 days, total investment of a whopping 1.80 lakh crore rupees through four mega projects and other smaller projects, has slipped out of the BJP-Sena ruled state. INDIAN CEO AGRAWAL SHOWN DOOR? Parag Agrawal, 38, was appointed Twitter CEO in Novem- ber last year after the social media site’s co-founder Jack Dorsey had stepped down. An IIT Bombay and Stanford alumnus, Agrawal had joined Twitter over a decade ago when there were fewer than 1,000 employees at the company. “Agrawal, who was appointed Twitter’s chief executive last year, had clashed” with Musk “publicly and privately in recent months about the takeover,” the NYT report said. ‘The bird is freed’,says Elon Musk as he acquires Twitter New York: “The bird is freed,” billionaire Elon Musk tweeted on Friday after completing the whopping USD 44 bil- lion takeover of Twitter and firing the social me- dia giant’s four top ex- ecutives, including CEO Parag Agrawal and le- gal executive Vijaya Gadde. The Twitter ex- ecutives who were fired include Agrawal, Gad- de, Chief Financial Of- ficer Ned Segal and General Counsel Sean Edgett. Musk had closed the deal to buy Twitter on Thursday . “I am here to stay!” Aditi Nagar New Delhi: The ap- pointment of DGP Umesh Mishra has sent a ‘political message’ to the state bureaucracy as well. And the message clearly states : Ashok Gehlot will remain the Chief Minister till 2023 and the 2023 assembly election will be fought under his leadership. In fact, the Rajasthan po- lice officials had been waiting for the corona- tion of Umesh Mishra for the past several days because this was also a ‘measuring point’ which would settle the ‘conerns’, once and for all, that Gehlot woul continue and thus, Mishra’s appointment has made the picture crystal clear. Mishra has been handed this major re- sponsibility on the basis of merit and loyalty and his term will last till Oc- tober 2024. After the ap- pointment of DGP, now Gehlot can take another big decision to make po- litical appointments in 14 UITs. In fact, this move, along with the transfer of 30 IAS on Friday, is being seen as a major step towards ‘Good Governance’! Gehlot took major administra- tive steps before leav- ing for Gujarat and con- ducted addjustment according to seniority and qualification. Turn to P7 Does this ED (Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis) government belong to Maharashtra or Gujarat? This government claimed that the Vedanta-Foxconn project went to Gujarat due to the earlier MVA government. Now because of whom did this project (Tata Airbus) go to Gujarat? —Ambadas Danve, LoP, Maha Legislative Council We can see industrial- ists do not have confidence in this ‘khoke sarkar’ (govt formed out of bribery worth crores of rupees) and that is why every investment which was supposed to come to Maharash- tra is now moving to other states. —Aditya Thackeray, former minister It is clear that Shinde and Fad- navis are traitors of Maharashtra who is promoting the interests of Gujarat. Maharashtra has the largest industry in the country. Prime Minister Modi worries that Gujarat is behind Maharashtra. That is why ever since he became the Prime Minis- ter, he has planned to shift important projects and institutions in Maharash- tra to Gujarat. —Nana Patole, President, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee The agreement to build Tata Air- bus’s cargo plane in Baroda, Gujarat was done on 21 September 2021. At that time, there was no Shinde-Fadnavis government in the state, rather Uddhav Thackeray- led MVA government was at helm. The Aghadi government did nothing to bring this project to Maharashtra. —Uday Samant, Maha- rashtra Industries Minister CM Shinde had clearly said that the Tata Air- bus project to build C-295 military transport aircraft will come to Nagpur after Vedanta- Foxconn exited. But the false role of Eknath Shinde has now come to the fore. BJP has made Shinde the chief minister only to transfer mega projects from Maharash- tra to Gujarat. Eknath Shinde should also resign like Liz Truss. —Mahesh Cheche, Spokesperson, NCP Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurating Class 70 Shyok Setu, on D-S-DBO Road in Ladakh on Friday. —PHOTOS BY PTI Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during an event organised by BRO for the inauguration of 75 BRO infrastructure projects in Ladakh, on Friday. During the four-year Congress re- gime, an average of 69 paise per unit of fuel surcharge has been im- posed on power con- sumers,” said Rajen- dra Rathore. Similarly, BJP State President Satish Poon- ia targeted Chief Min- ister Ashok Gehlot and said that usually gifts are given on Diwali, but the government has given shocks to electric- ity bills. “I am helpless. This will be a major step to- wards increasing the production of oilseeds for which the country is heavily import- dependent. Against an annual production of around 8.5 million tonnes of ed- ible oil, India imports around 14.5 mt of edible oil to meet its domestic demand of edible oil. Genetically modified crops have met stiff resistance from farmers and environmentalists. The first to be opposed tooth and nail was Bt cotton despite sui- cides by cotton growers due to crop losses. Once introduced in 2002 the insect and pest resistant crop has benefited farmers by cutting expenditure on insecti- cides and increased production. As controversial as Bt cotton was Bt brinjal the commercial re- lease of which was foiled by envi- ronmentalists. The GM mustard may also require government clearanceforcommercialrelease. C-295 AIRCRAFT’S GUJARAT LANDING The project is worth Rs 1.54 lakh cr. Aaaditya Thackeray, leader of Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena said that the project was moved out of Maharashtra after it was “almost finalised.” It was a blow to state govt’s initiative, he said T Promoted by Suvasa Apparel and Furnishing Pvt. Ltd. he word accountability is giv- en least importance in India. Employees work hard at their work place but they don’t care how much contribution their hard work is adding to their organization profit. The con- cern of “profit” merely re- mains till the promoters and the finance department. The marketingandmanufacturing department primarily con- tribute to business and prod- uct generation. While other departments of any organiza- tion identify themselves as a support function, which is not correct. Be it be HR Depart- ment, supply chain depart- mentorthemarketingdepart- ment, eachdepartmentandits headmustactasprofit-centric head for their organization. What should be the role of the head of the department and how they can work as profit centric head, let’s take a look. It is usually the head of the Department who has to look up to the administrative affairs of his department. Generally , what a head of de- partment does is that he mon- itors his department and em- ployees working under him perform better than other departments of the company . Often, it is also possible that the head of the department is superior to all of his employ- ees just to show to the man- agement, to resort to internal constraints and policies and to compete with others. A healthy competition between the two departments offers good productivity in the com- pany, but in the competition to prove themselves superior an atmosphere of internal clashes and stress is created. When we say that the head of the department should act as the profit center head, the meaning of the concept is to changethewholemindsetand perspectiveof thedepartment towardsthecompany .Theday when the departmental heads start working considering the point of view of the top man- agements and focus on how their departments can con- tribute to the company’s di- rectgrowth, theycanbecalled the best departmental head. The head of the department should work with the employ- ees of their department in such a way that each and eve- ry employee of the depart- ment can share their contri- bution and show involvement in the company’s growth. LET’S CONSIDER AN EXAMPLE Henry Ford, who was the own- er of the world famous Ford Company , had a different vi- sion and way of working from that of other promoters. He used to hold regular meetings with all the heads of depart- ments, hislessonswerespecial for all the employees. He also sometimes used to interact di- rectly with the employees and said, “Life is the Ocean of Ex- periences!” every experience teach and inspire us to do somethingnew.Healsousedto say to his employees, do what- ever you want to do it with yourheartandfulldedication. By doing things with heart special contributions can be made to the organization. Henry always advised his departmental heads that if theyareabletogivelong-term and positive vision to the em- ployees and show them how they can contribute and be a partner in company’s growth thenyouareanexcellentlead- er. The easiest way to achieve this is to create a sense of ownership spirit in every em- ployee. Every work profile should be respected and every work should be done from heartwillfulldedication. And the person who works with proper dedication will be- come a partner in the com- pany’s growth in true senses. The heads of each depart- ment should recognize the strengths of their employees and distribute the work ac- cordingly. Henry always ad- vised employees saying, “Di- vide your wok into small targets, this will make easy for you to reach the goal. This will help you achieve big tar- gets.” If you take a look away from your goal then it means that you have lost control to reach your goal and you need to focus. The most difficult and effortful work is to make every employee of your team to work in team. If this is an easy task for you then you come out as a good leader but if you are weak leader then employees will not associate themselves with your vision. The conclusion of the dis- cussion comes out to be that the head of the department should make every employee of his team participate in the company’s work keeping in mind their vision and goals. Some tips.  The head of each department should check their employ- ees to work in a team.  The head of the department should work together with other heads and participate equally in the company’s growth.  The head of the department should check how each em- ployee can participate in the company’s growth and distrib- ute the work accordingly.  It is the responsibility of the departmental head to see that every employee looks after their work and works towards progress. THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY THE AUTHOR ARE PERSONAL T Henry Ford, who was the owner of the world famous Ford Company, had a different vision and way of working from that of other promoters. His lessons were special for all the employees. He sometimes used to interact directly with the employees and said, “Life is the Ocean of Experiences!” The day when the departmental heads start working considering the point of view of the top managements and focus on how their departments can contribute to the company’s direct growth, they can be called the best departmental head. They should work with employees in such a way that the staff is involved in firm’s growth CAN A DEPARTMENT HEAD WORK AS PROFIT CENTER HEAD? BHAVESH UPADHYAY The writer is a Businessman and HR Expert

Ravikant are some of the high- lights of the transfer list of 30 IAS issued on Fri- day by the State Govern- ment. In totality , the list is being considered as a ‘popular and prac- tical’ list where CMO haddonealotof home- workforthechief min- ister. The arrival of a low profile and highly efficient Anand Kumar inthecorridorsof power as the Principal Secre- tary Home is being con- sidered as a welcome move, as the ‘style and functioning’ of Abhay Kumar was increasingly becomingaroad-blockin the fast decision making process of the Home de- partment vis-a-vis other higherupsinthegovern- ment, though Abhay en- joys the reputation and goodwill of an honest and low profile officer. Although on health grounds, Abhay had re- quested more than once to the state government to hand him a ‘lighter charge’. However, the bureau- cracy is also shocked at the elevation of Sand- esh Nayak on the high chairof Director,Mines, Ashutosh AT Ped- nekar’s major responsi- bility in Vidyut Bhawan and handing over the complicated responsi- bility of MD, Roadways to Nathmal Didel. Ashu- tosh appears to be a ‘lucky guy’ who has al- ways been getting im- portant assignments, one after the other. Pradeep K Gawande has been given a posting according to his capa- bilities, as handing him thechargeof MD,RSMM and thereafter Director, Mines was a wrong and laughable move of the DoP . However, through its Friday’s transfer list, theDoPhascorrectedits mistake. Notably , the re- moval of Pukhraj Sain was finalised from the day when he came into direct confrontation withseniorofficerinthe Finance department, who is known for his ef- ficiency low-profile functioning. Additional- ly , DoP has looked at Skill Development Dept after a long time ap- pointed Poonam Chan- dra Kishan as its full time Secretary . Officials like Antar Singh Nehra, Sourabh Swami, Vikas S. Bhale, L. N. Mantri and Suneel Sharma have been giv- en new responsibilities. Notably, DoP has ‘taken care’ of senior IAS Shi- khar Agrawal and handed him the addi- tional charge of a major department like Water Resources, thus making him the most powerful bureaucrat among his peers. In the past he has handled the depart- ment and handing him the reins yet again, is beyond understanding. Krishna Kunal was on a ‘cold bag’ posting in Election department for long time and hand- ing him the additional charge of Animal Hus- bandry, Fisheries, Go- palan and Minorities department is a sur- prising move. Handing the additional charge of RUDSICO to Hridesh Kumar Sharma, the DoP has honoured the official’s abilities. The position of Regis- trar, Cooperatives is considered an impor- tant position in the state government and nearly half a dozen IAS were lobbying for this post. It was thought that a youngandenergeticIAS would be transferred to this post but, for the time being, the charge has been handed over to Meghraj Singh Ratnu. It seems that com- plaining against AAG R. P. Singh has cost dearly to Sandeep Verma, whose work style, per- haps, doesn’t match with the current govt. Vaibhav Galriya, who was comfortably perched in Medical Dept even minister Parsadi Lal Meena couldn’t re- move him, has now been transferred handed the reins of another im- portant department i.e. PWD. Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav had put Naveen Mahajan in dock it is believed that Vaibhav won’t be able to do much either, basical- ly because of minister’s intervention in day- to- day affairs of the de- partment. Any ensemble that incorporates ethnic jackets gains magic and becomes an occult statement item. City First brings to you the significance of jackets in the ethnic world! ashion is what you adopt when you don’t know who you are. In- dian fashion is wonderful. ash- ion is what you adopt when you don’t know who you are. Indian fashion is wonderful. Every en- chanted flower, each brisk breeze, each wintry snowfall, the end- less hours and agonising efforts it takes to complement the wearer’s style like Indian girls themselves. You can style ethnic jackets anyplace and however, you choose. An ordinary outfit can be- come a standout piece by adding an eth- nic jacket. Three different jacket styles can be worn over a saree - long jackets, short jackets and medium-sized jackets. This modern way of wearing a saree with a jacket makes it another designer ensemble in and of itself. There are two ways to wear it, either inside like a blouse and wrapping the pallu over the jacket, or outside like a jacket over a sa- ree pallu. Again, the body form is what immediately lends a glam appearance. Indian design is complex. Go for a black skirt and blouse combo with a colourfully embroidered short jacket if you’re having trouble deciding what kind of jacket to wear with what colour. This instantly creates a ritzy appearance that can be worn for any celebratory occasion. Who in the world will say no to pairing an ethnic embroidered jacketwithafull-lengthAnarka- li kurta? Some embroidery jackets are finely made with alluring details in them giving a classy yet posh wedding- ready look. When you have a straightforward Anarkali suit and a stylish jacket with an all-over body sequence, it is pure happiness. Traditional jackets are also frequently worn by people who seek to give their appearance a sense of authority and power. Such jackets were worn by the royals of Western India during those grand cele- brations and ceremonies. See how the same kurta set can give you a light look when worn alone or a weighty look when worn with a jacket that has delicate sequin em- broidery. For women or girls who want to achieve two looks with one dress, this three-piece set is perfect. The same attire can be transformed into a du- al-look outfit. By sim- ply mixing and match- ing the components of an outfit, it is pos- sible to dress Indian wear in a variety of ways. By experi- menting, you can generate a wide va- riety of fashion trends. Just start with the ethnic jackets if you wish to incorpo- rate new things into your fashion sense. He could not have imagined that a young, skinny Hindu would become the PM of the UK and pio- neer a new World Stage for generations to follow. The meteoric rise of Rishi Sunak to the high- est office in Great Brit- ain is being hailed the world over, albeit through deviating prisms. Sadly, in some dark minds, his rise is being seen as a body blow and a conspiracy against the whites. But, as a matter of fact, his rise is the cut- ting edge of human evo- lution, for it has pushed mankind many miles closer to that distant uto- pia where man nature will coexist in eternal bliss. While Indians are cel- ebrating pluralism in a country that ruled over them for 200 years, they are letting monism crawl out at home. Coloured people are feeling some- what vindicated that their skin shade is noth- ing but a pigment of the imagination. What Sunak really represents is the tri- umph of core human values of hard work, in- tegrity and learning. He has proven that the barriers of religion colour are high only for the mediocre. To step over them with alacrity, sangfroid the confi- dence of a Barack, Ri- shi, Manmohan or Lal Bahadur, one has to be- come taller in character, professional integrity wisdom, all honed by quality education. Such personalities belie the excuses, alibis and self- justifications of the lazy and corrupt. Having said that, for such efforts to fructify, the ground of liberal thought (democracy) is a prerequisite, even if partly tilled. Is it any surprise that such leaps are well nigh impossible in autocratic or theocrat- ic states? Only democra- cies, the crucibles of lib- eral thought, can make it possible. They welcome pure talent integrity to break their fossilized thoughts on colour, reli- gion etc and cement their democratic values. Rishi Sunak has enkindled many a flame across the world stage. He has add- ed fuel to a mil- lion burning spir- its who can now dare to dream big !! Just as electricity, a miracle once, is now the most common utility in our lives, so too would that stage be that Rishi has set up so adroitly . For thousands of years, Mt.Everest stood unconquered, until the young Edmund Hillary climbed it in 1953. Ever since, in 69 short years, more than 6,000 have climbed that peak., with one Nepali Sherpa mak- ing 26 ascents !! By the way, his name is Kami Rita, in case his effort has been lost in the dust of that oft-tread path !! Even though the irre- pressible comics cyn- ics will add grist to their humour rumour mills, they can never take away the breathtaking conquest of Rishi Su- nak, the 57th PM of Great Britain, once the biggest empire the world has known.
