DIGITAL LEARNING OBJECTS DLO Digital Learning Object Part 1 Digital Learning Object Part 2
Definition TEACHERS CAN CREATE LEARNING  OBJECTS FOR
Digital Learning Objects also extend the function of data by providing a process that uses
They connect prior knowledge to new content, increase understanding of    abstract concepts, and have the potential for constructing   individual interpretations.
They can also  be used along with other DLOs  in different ways  and in multiple disciplines  and fields.
Digital Learning Objects Assist understanding of more abstract   and complex concepts Promote engagement, proficiency Support retention Permit scaffolding with other objects Be interactive
What Components Belong in an Effective DLO? An effective DLO will contain, at the very least:  Title Produced by Introduction Learning Objective(s) Explanation, description, background Examples of application Video Relationship to other relevant concepts Practice and Assessment Summary Photos
CREATIVE LEARNING ACTIVITY Each student teacher will plan, develop and implement a Creative Learning Activity.   The Activity may be an Interactive Bulletin Board, an Educational Game, a Learning Center, a Webquest, or an I-Movie.   An oral presentation about the Creative Learning Activity to the seminar group may be required.   Required elements of the Creative Learning Activity are: Title List of materials Directions for use Sources Photographs with captions/explanations On a separate page:  A reflection on the effectiveness of the Activity.
