The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) aims to break the link between family background and educational achievement. It does this by identifying and evaluating evidence-based teaching approaches, sharing findings with schools through the Teaching and Learning Toolkit, and promoting the use of evidence in projects and resources. The EEF follows a process from developing promising practices to evaluating their impact on a larger scale. It takes a rigorous approach to evaluation, tracking outcomes like attainment longitudinally and comparing results across multiple independent studies. To date, the EEF has funded over 50 projects involving over 1,300 schools and 275,000 students.
