We’re beginning lesson 19.3 –
Kingdoms and Crusades --
examining the Magna Carta,
and King John’s role in
“helping” to establish
universal rights of man. We’ll
be looking at a couple
videos, having a lecture
presentation, taking notes,
having a discussion, doing a
bubble map on Bad King John
and an acrostic on the Magna
Carta, which will be due on
Friday!

3. Bad King John Bubble Map
Create a bubble map on King John, with 5-7 adjectives
describing John, then a bubble off each adjective with an
example/evidence. Then, frame your thinking, and give a
summative statement answering why King John was
important to history (hint: not just because he was evil!).

John.
Up until its creation, English kings had been allowed to rule without any
limitations since they claimed to have been given absolute power by God.
This document forced the monarchy to follow the same laws as its citizens.
