This document discusses why one should be generous towards stray animals near them. It notes that stray animals include domesticated animals wandering in search of shelter, food, medical care, and affection. Examples of stray animals are dogs, cats, cows, birds, monkeys, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, and chickens. The document urges helping strays by providing food, water, shelter, and medical assistance as they cannot find these resources on their own. It also advises observing strays carefully and calling helplines if they appear injured. One should never abuse animals and should promote animal welfare.
- On January 12th 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, causing massive damage and killing over 200,000 people.
- The earthquake destroyed Port-au-Prince and the infrastructure of the country, leaving millions homeless and without access to food, water, or medical care.
- International aid and search/rescue teams have responded, setting up camps and makeshift medical facilities, but the humanitarian crisis remains immense due to the level of destruction and Haiti's extreme poverty even before the disaster.
Street dogs in many cities have adapted to urban environments and learned to navigate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, with some even using public transportation. India has a large street dog population due to abundant food sources and a culture of caring for strays, though it also has high rates of human rabies deaths. Romania also struggles with large street dog populations due to abandonment during communist-era urbanization programs. Across the UK, an estimated 100,000 dogs and countless cats lack homes and often suffer on the streets or are euthanized in shelters. The pet industry, irresponsible breeding, and abandonment all contribute to the problem of pet homelessness.
Shelters: Overpopulation
“5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized (60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats)”
“Only 10 percent of the animals received by shelters have been spayed or neutered, while 78 percent of pet dogs and 88 percent of pet cats are spayed or neutered”
The ASPCA's mission is to prevent cruelty to animals. It works to rescue abused animals, pass humane laws, and share resources with shelters nationwide. The ASPCA focuses on adoption, spay/neuter programs, and educational outreach. It aims to increase awareness of animal abuse issues and find homes for animals in need. The organization encourages critical thinking on animal treatment and taking informed action like adoption or fostering.
1) An estimated 259,200 people die every day around the world from various causes such as hunger, disease, and complications during childbirth.
2) Many deaths could be prevented if people had access to basic necessities and healthcare. Those living in poverty often lack medical care and die from treatable illnesses.
3) Corrupt leaders in some developing nations mismanage funds, leaving citizens in poverty without adequate resources and healthcare. With fair distribution of resources, many lives could be improved or saved.
The document discusses various forms of cruelty against animals, including their killing for food and entertainment purposes. It notes that over 10 billion animals are slaughtered each year for human consumption, often in inhumane conditions, and that animals continue to be used in cruel entertainment like bullfighting and circuses. The document also addresses the use of animals for clothing, experimentation, and other issues. It provides suggestions for how people can help, such as donating to organizations like PETA that work against animal cruelty.

Euthanasia refers to assisted suicide and means "good death" in Greek. While legal in some places like the Netherlands and certain US states, euthanasia is controversial and banned in many countries due to religious and ethical concerns. Proponents argue it can relieve suffering at the end of life, while opponents worry it could be abused or feel it amounts to killing. There are complex questions around when to withdraw life support and whether financial costs should determine how long terminal patients receive care.

2. Who are we?
We are: the Service Crusaders- a non-
profit organization! We help displaced
people, and animals get the services that
they need in our global crisis centers!
Our Slogan: “No one can help
everyone, but everyone can help
someone.”
4. Effects on People-
● Many people die of starvation, displacement, natural disasters, war and conflicts, and
more.
● Approximately 100 million in the world are homeless. Also as many as 1 billion people
live as refugees or temporary shelters, all of them lacking sufficient housing.
● More than 480,000 died from direct and indirect war violence.
● The United Nations reports that over 7.6 million people die every year throughout the
world because of hunger. This means about 21,000 people, on average, die every day
because of food shortage. That's one person every 4 seconds. Most of the majority of
deaths are children.
● LIFE’S SHORT. DO THINGS THAT MATTER!
5. Effects on Animals-
● Each year, approximately 2.7 million dogs and cats are killed every year because
shelters are too full and there aren’t enough adoptive homes.
● There are 70 million stray animals living in the U.S. Of this 70 million, only about six
to eight million cats and dogs enter the nation’s 3,500 shelters every year,
according to the Humane Society of the United Homeless Animals.
● The main reason animals are in shelters are because owners give them up, or
animal control finds them on the streets. Act as a publicist for your local shelter so
pets can find homes.
6. Helpful Organizations we partner with-
People:
UNHCR is a great organization for people that
have been displaced. UNHCR exists to protect and
assist everyone who has been affected by forced
displacement. They provide life-saving assistance
and work to identify solutions for displaced

Animals:
The Humane Society of the United States Shelter
and Rescue Partners are part of a national mission to
save animals. After the HSUS removes animals from
abusive situations, Shelters and Rescue Partners
work with their partners to care for and place the
animals. As local groups with access to local
resources, partners provide the animals with
veterinary care, rehabilitation and placement in
lifelong homes.
7. Our Vision-
● Our Vision is that we can help displaced humans and
animals seeking food, education, and health.
● At our Service Crusader Centers, both mobile and
stationary, humans can be nursed back to health in the
presence of animals who’ve been through similar harm.
8. Our goal is that we can help the people and

These centers will include hospitals,vets,
dentists, rehabilitation, and housing. There are
