The Anti-Cruelty Society is a nonprofit that has cared for animals in Chicago for over 112 years. They have found homes for over 40,000 pets, spayed/neutered over 61,000 animals, and taught compassion to over 225,000 children. Their mission is to build a caring community by rescuing pets, improving their health, and educating people on helping abused pets. They rely on veterinarians, volunteers, donations, and programs to rescue animals, provide temporary emergency shelter, and find the pets permanent loving homes.

Julie Tishkoff is a longtime resident of San Francisco. The region is rich and offers plenty of opportunities. From the many activities in her area and the vibrant culture of San Francisco, she has plenty of options on her days off. If she’s not traveling to Napa or Sonoma Valley, she enjoys staying in San Francisco and cheering on her favorite teams.
The Community Assistance Program is designed to assist woman in our community that are in need of Avenues 12’s substance abuse recovery program. We want to be that helping hand to get women off the streets and back into society. This program is designed to financially assist women during their first 2 weeks - 30 days of residency at Avenues 12. Every donated dollar will cover 100% of their cost until they become employed and self-sufficient.
Through another outreach program called Break Time Buddies, volunteers from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay take animals to local businesses. This activity serves as a way to foment team building by allowing employees to enjoy a break with the animals, as a way to boost workplace productivity, reduce stress and support canine and human health and wellness.

3. The SAFE Program SAFE in the SAFE stands for Short-term Accommodations For Emergencies. If you have a house fire, a natural disaster or domestic violence, people are not able to be at their homes they can take their pet to the Anti-Cruelty Society and we will take care of their animal until they can come back and get it. 5. Community Needs There are a lot of animals being abused. People are abusing animals for no reason. Do it yourself donations. You can make or sell things and all the profits go to the Anti-Cruelty Society. The community need is that people are abusing animals all the time. We need to get people to stop abusing and neglecting animals. We need to allot people jobs to help save the animals.

7. Process They want to get more people to take the programs. They want people to volunteer more. They want people to donate more. They want to have the people care for the pets. We are trying to curtail the number of animals being abused.
8. Outputs We find good homes for the pets. We have people volunteer. We take care of the pets until their adopted. We explicate how to care for abused animals. We are aggrandizing the lives of these animals by providing them with a good safe home.

10. How It Relates to CR,CT, or CA It relates to Critical Action because they get the pets to better health, they get the pets adopted, and they make sure the pets are in a loving and caring environment. They also educate people by implementing the lesson plan in the form of a program.
11. How You Can Help We have an adult and a teen volunteer program. We have foster volunteering. We have pet visitations. We have do it yourself donations. We have special events. Anybody can act as an ambassador and help plan special events.
12. The Funding Institution The funding institution that would fund this is the Shuttleworth Foundation. We are looking for more innovative ways to rescue abused animals. The Shuttleworth Foundation would fund this nonprofit because they like innovative projects.
13. Personal Connection My personal connection with this Nonprofit is the animals. I have grown up around animals and I have always liked them. I hate them being abused and Neglected. I don’t think the animals deserve to be treated this way,
