This is Abraham. I am the father of many
nations. When I was a young man, people
called me Abram. One day, when I was more
than 100 years old, my Lord our God said to me:

Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you
love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer
him there as a burnt offering on one of the
mountains of which I shall tell you.

And Abraham took the wood of the burnt
offering and laid it on Isaac his son. And he
took in his hand the fire and the knife.

And Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!”
And he said, “Here I am, my son.”
He said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but
where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the
lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went
both of them together.

But the angel of the LORD called to him and said,
“Abraham, Abraham! Do not lay your hand on the
boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you
fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son,
your only son, from me. And your offspring shall
possess the gate of his enemies, and in your
offspring shall all the nations of the earth be
blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”

snake and put it up on a pole.
Then when anyone was bitten
by a snake and looked at the
bronze snake, they lived.

introduce our fellowship.

most important person in VCCA.

serve in the fellowship. Let

thing you did for our
weekly meeting?

spend 8 hours to say the
prayers before dinner.

of our fellowship.

coming from?

It’s me! I am the “hand” of
VCCA. I have to rinse, slice, and
cook the food. I have dedicated
my life to cooking for you!

And I have to be aware of the
balance of nutrition and
everyone’s taste. See, if I cook
garlic fried onion with stinky
tofu paste.

Wow! Then it’s gonna
be “flavorful”!

Now. You see the
importance of the “hand”
of our fellowship.

Wait! Then I’m more
important than everyone

every Friday?

run 10 miles every week.

of our fellowship.

fellowship. If I wasn’t brain-

down…no.no.no…I mean if I was not
guiding you to walk this road of blessings.

sharing the Gospel?

so comforting and inspiring. If I
picked some heavy-metal and
rap songs, it’s gonna be crazy,
right?

of our fellowship.

Wait. I feel I am the

in VCCA.

‘cause my job is the
most important job.

Naïve, pal. It’s not an
easy task.

The kids are crouching tigers! I have
lost several pairs of glasses because I
have “watch” all the kids. Sometimes I
even dream to wrestle with them.
What a nightmare!

Now. You see the
importance of the “eyes”
of our fellowship.

Well. Then I think I am
the indispensable asset
to the fellowship.

You are new. Why are
you indispensable?

See. Who takes care of all the leftover.
I finished all of them, even the cream
on your plate. I am the “stomach” of
the our fellowship. I should represent
VCCA!

It’s not a stomach. It’s a
garbage disposal!

Enough! We are all parts
of the body of Christ. It
does make sense to argue
who’s the most important.

Jesus said, “Whoever wants to
become great among you must be
your servant, and whoever wants to
be first must be you slave.” God value
our humble services, we shouldn’t
argue the importance of our service.

Yes. We are endowed with
different gifts and services, but
we are all parts of the Christ
body. We are all indispensable.

So, we have to support
and love each other!
