RE: Employment Reference – Edward Bennett
This reference letter is my personal recommendation for Edward Bennett. I have been his Team Leader in the
various back office teams in which he undertook the functions of Operations Officer in Exchange Traded
Derivatives (October 2012 - 8 months) and then promoted to Team Coordinator/Operations Specialist in Equity and
Commodity Derivatives Trade Processing within ING Belgium Financial Markets Run Department.
Edward was responsible for processing the reconciliation of Listed Derivatives and their relevant margin calls for
Collateral along with our Clearing Broker. Following this he was placed on his next assignment handling the
planning and coordination of the tasks within the team, presenting weekly meetings and daily dashboards, validating
and drafting ISDA confirmations for OTC Equity and Commodity Derivatives, handling and processing the relevant
settlement cash flow discrepancies with our clients, taking audit points, double checking corporate actions and
fixings, and treating other non-core tasks.
During this period Edward evolved rapidly acquiring solid competences in regards of product knowledge, team
coordination and communication. The latter helped him to build strong analytical and problem solving skills to
improve our day-to-day tasks and relevant procedures. He also helped the team to strengthen the collaboration with
our external and internal stakeholders, via conference calls and by promoting our business. In a nutshell he is a hard-
working individual whom you can always count on, is proactive, professional, dynamic, efficient and who can
always keep a positive attitude.
While understanding Edward’s decision to leave our company, his presence will be sorely missed. Being open
minded, he got along well with his colleagues and his personality was appreciated by many inside ING.
