The Landscape of Geniuses is an initiative for the creation and
development of tourism based on the universal connection of four artists
with four municipalities of Tarragona, where they spent long periods of
their lives.
It is Antoni Gaudi in Reus, Joan Miró in Mont-roig del Camp, Pau Casals in
El Vendrell, and Pablo Picasso in Horta de Sant Joan. The Technical Office is placed at Science and Technology Park for Tourism and Leisure in Vila-seca.
The Urban Landscapes staff maintains numerous public planters, flower beds, and 70 baskets (14 long square baskets and 56 round pole baskets) in many areas throughout Morgantown. This slideshow highlights the most popular project sites.
Morgantown Arbor Day Marks a Year of Tree Improvements for Morgantown Public ...Susan Sullivan Morgantown
Over the course of a year, the City of Morgantown Urban Landscape Department, the Tree Board, Public Works, and the Morgantown Library worked together to removed the Bradford Pears from the remaining two tree planters, where four once stood.
Today we celebrate two new Ginkgo trees, planted on Municipal Arbor Day.
The Morgantown Tree Board published these factoids to help Morgantown residents understand their responsibilities as the stewards of their green neighbors!
This slideshow outlines what the City of Morgantown Public Communications Office does and how you can get information about your city using traditional, social, and digital media.
The Morgantown City Manager and his administrative team have helped departments create Goals & Objectives, as well as Performance Measures. This is the presentation he gave during the September 24, 2013 Committee of the Whole meeting.
You can watch his presentation on the City's Streaming Video Archive, starting at 1:49:30, at http://morgantown.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2 (loads and plays best in Internet Explorer.)
Working with data is a challenge for many organizations. Nonprofits in particular may need to collect and analyze sensitive, incomplete, and/or biased historical data about people. In this talk, Dr. Cori Faklaris of UNC Charlotte provides an overview of current AI capabilities and weaknesses to consider when integrating current AI technologies into the data workflow. The talk is organized around three takeaways: (1) For better or sometimes worse, AI provides you with “infinite interns.” (2) Give people permission & guardrails to learn what works with these “interns” and what doesn’t. (3) Create a roadmap for adding in more AI to assist nonprofit work, along with strategies for bias mitigation.
