CanadaHelps is a public foundation that provides online donation processing for charities. It was founded in 2000 by three university students to make charitable giving easier. Over 9,000 charities have registered with CanadaHelps, which has processed over $150 million in donations. Registering provides benefits like affordable fees, tax receipts, an online donate button, and faster access to funds through electronic transfers. The registration process involves submitting basic organization information and banking details.
