  8. 8. Donate Now Button• Learn how to add the Donate Now! button to your charity’s website.• Allows donors to link directly from your site to your donation page on CanadaHelps – eliminating searching and steps in the donation process.
  9. 9. • Once you choose an image, HTML code is automatically generated• All you have to do is add this code to your website’s existing HTML• If you are unsure of what to do with the code, ask your charity’s website personnel to assist you
  10. 10. • Put your Donate Now button “above the fold”• Visitors should not have to scroll too much to find what they are looking for
  12. 12. E-newsletters• Always include a clickable Donate Now button along with your e- newsletter no matter what format
  13. 13. Email Signature• Great way to remind people your organization accepts donations online• Get everyone in your organization to do it• Include a brief tagline/quote about your charity, campaign, etc.
  14. 14. Security and Privacy• CanadaHelps is committed to keeping your donors safe and secure online• Our website is certified by VeriSign Secured and McAfee Secured• We are also Level 3 PCI DSS Compliant
  15. 15. Receipts• CanadaHelps issues the tax receipts for the donations through our site.• You must not issue receipts to the donors or to CanadaHelps.

  18. 18. Donations – Data Download• Use this feature to download donation information for a particular date range.
  20. 20. Profile – Admin• Review and change your official operating names, admin email, contact info, and banking details.• Enhance your Charity Profile with a mission statement, organizational description, and logo.• Preview your page to see what others will see!
  21. 21. Profile – Overview• Fill in your charity’s mission statement and description in English and French.• This is your chance to explain to donors what your charity does.

  23. 23. Funds• Designate specific funds for your charity (e.g. special campaign, specific project, fundraising appeal, etc.)• Donors will be able to select one when making a donation.• Increases your charity’s transparency
  24. 24. Search Info – Categories• Two ways to improve your charity’s “searchability” on CanadaHelps!• Under CATEGORIES, select main and sub categories that best describe your charity.
