The Coleman Company manufactures outdoor equipment and camping gear. An intern completed several energy efficiency projects at their Kansas factory, including lighting retrofits, replacing metal halide lights, improving boiler efficiency, conserving water, and optimizing blow molding grinders. The intern's recommendations could save over 1 million kWh annually, reduce natural gas use by 29,747 MSCF, conserve 9.3 million gallons of water, and cut costs by $313,353 per year, while decreasing CO2 emissions by over 3,386 metric tons. The Coleman Company was interested in creating a more energy efficient workplace.
