This document contains two discussion responses that discuss different types of conflicts. The first response describes an interpersonal conflict between two business partners due to differences in skills, abrasive personalities, and poor communication. This caused intrapersonal conflict for one partner who felt overwhelmed. The second response discusses person-role conflicts experienced as a salesperson where personal values clashed with sales goals. It also describes a functional conflict at a current organization where new ideas are resisted due to differences in skills and abilities between older and younger workers. Role analysis is used to resolve intragroup conflicts by clarifying expectations.
