Coronavirus. In an attempt to curb its spread, many jobs have
been lost, many companies and recreational centers have been
forced to shut down. Many nations are forced to convert their

disrupted the Chinese economy and affecting the planet.
Economic shocks reduced labor supply and increased demand,
business had to shut down which increased in rising costs

Preventions
The best way to avoid contracting the virus is to stay away from
exposer to the virus. The virus is contacted when a person has
been exposed to an infected person droplet (sneezing and
coughing in the air, or holding a door handle, etc.) among other
things. Some people do not show symptoms of the virus at all.

illness is another way of prevention. By having a room aside for
anyone that falls sick in your household, making sure they

An everyday prevention steps are to wash hands often, either
with hand sanitizer or soap. Avoiding touching mouth, nose, and
eyes then touching someone else. When feeling sick, stay home,
cover mouth when coughing or sneezing either with a tissue or
if you mistakenly cough or sneeze in your hands, make sure
they are thoroughly washed with soap and warm water. Clean
and disinfect any surface that is often touched in your
surroundings. Also, be prepared to practice social distancing
everywhere, stay about 6 feet away from other people (CDC,
2020).
CDC (2020) states that symptoms to watch out for during this
pandemic are fever, cough, or shortness of breath. Stay away
from other sick people whether it’s a family member, stay home
and have a healthcare provider called if any of the symptoms
persist.

COVID-19 affected everything including the healthcare
industry. Doctors, Registered nurses (RNs), Licensed
Practitioner Nurses (LPNs) were at the center of it all. Hospitals
generally suffered, employees were laid off, or put on furlough.

5. Employees who are still working at the Emergency room works
overtime and some even got contacted with virus, while other
employees who works at clinics barely have patients to attend
to. Patients are also affected by this; patients are not allowed to
come with family members to appointments or even come into
the hospital to see patients. Patient doctor relationship has
declined since COVID-19, except in critical situations,
appointments are now via telemedicine. Hospitals and

COVID 19 is an infectious disease that has no vaccine at the
moment. The effect this virus had on healthcare industry was
huge, an increase in mortality rate including patients and
healthcare workers. Economically, the healthcare workers
suffered a huge lose in income due to cancelation of procedures
and appointments. The healthcare industry is making the most
effective changes by having their employees call patients to
reschedule appointments for further dates, healthcare providers
are limiting their appointments to only chronic issues and

temperature check at the entrance of the hospital and also a face
mask. This way they are controlling the spread of the virus.
