supervision of construction of various civil engineering infrastructure projects such as highway, drainage, tunnel,
airport, reservoir, traffic, railway, pipeline, hydroelectric and irrigation dam, bridge and building projects.

TRAINING
In my approximately fourty year civil and municipal engineering career to-date, I have attended various exhibitions,

2012 to 2015
Senior Highway Development Control Engineer on contract with Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council,
Swindon Borough Council, Hampshire County Council and Oxfordshire County Council dealing with the highway and
drainage issues on the various Planning Applications that were submitted by Property Developers to the Council for proposed
residential and/or commercial and/or industrial and/or affordable housing developments of property in the areas controlled by
the Council.
I was, also, dealing with the preparation and implementation of the necessary Section 278, 38 and 37 Legal Agreements of
the Highways Act 1980 and Section 104 and 116 Agreements of the Water Industry Act 1991, as well as Section 106
Agreement of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 for these property developments, including the review, approval,
implementation and monitoring of the Accessibility-for-All Plans, Green Travel Plans, School Travel Plans and Transport
and Traffic Impact Assessments associated with these proposed property developments.
2010 to 2012
Senior Design Engineer on contract with W.S. Atkins Civil Engineering Consultants on the thirty year Design, Build,
Finance and Operate ( DBFO ) Contract of the Connect Plus consortium with Highways England on the design and
implementation of the necessary widening, maintenance and improvement schemes for the M25 London Orbital Motorway
and its link roads at its junctions with other motorways and trunk roads.
2008 to 2010
Senior Design Engineer with Mouchel Parkman Civil Engineering Consultants Limited on the site investigation, survey and
design of the improvement works, as well as of the proposed new works of various highways in the U.K., such as the A38
Exeter to Plymouth, the M6 motorway in Birmingham, the design and implementation of “hard shoulder running” during
peak hours of traffic on the M3, M27 and M23 motorways and the five year “M25 Sphere Contract” of Mouchel Parkman
with Highways England for the maintenance and improvement of the M25 London Orbital Motorway.

Senior Civil Engineer on contract with Surrey County Council, Southampton City Council, Haringey London Borough

the time U.K. and E.U. standards and legislation and putting road safety and health and safety of all the public highway users

Residents, Ward Members, Committee Members, Statutory Utility Services, Emergency Services, Transportation Companies,

Resident Civil Engineer with the consortium of European Civil Engineering Consultancy Firms called Mosul Dam
Construction Management Joint Venture (MODACOM J.V.) on the supervision of the 24-hour x six days per week
construction of the 3 km long x 100 m high earth and clay core hydroelectric and irrigation dam on the river Tigris in Mosul,
Iraq, which was a multi-national and multi-contract project consisting of various Schemes such as the Diversion Tunnel,
Spillway, Powerhouse, Transformers House, the Main Dam itself, the Irrigation Canals, as well as the Pumped Storage
Scheme which consisted of the construction of the Tailrace Tunnel, Access Tunnel, Powerhouse Cavern, Transformer
Cavern, Powerhouse Shaft, Cable Shaft, the Reservoir at the top of the hill and the Overground Access Road to this
Reservoir. I spent 90% of my time on the supervision of construction of the Pumped Storage Scheme and 10% on the Main
Dam Scheme. I left this job when the whole project was complete and the dam was impounded and the water retained by the
dam had reached its maximum design level.
1.4.1980 - 8.9.1982
Civil Engineer with the Road Section of the Public Works Department of Cyprus on the feasibility study and design of the
Third Highway Project which was funded and closely scrutinized by the World Bank, the design and supervision of
construction of the widening, rehabilitation and improvements of the old Limasol-Paphos Road and on the design and
construction of the brand new Limasol Bypass, as well as on the survey, design and supervision of construction of various
other highway schemes in the part of Cyprus which is not occupied by the Turks and which schemes were included in the
annual budget of Government of Cyprus.

Assistant Engineer with Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council, Lancashire, U.K. on the supervision of construction of the
Second Phase of the Lowton to Glazebury Trunk Sewer and on the Forward Planning, vetting of Planning Applications from
the drainage point of view, as well as on the site investigation, survey and mapping all the items of public main drainage
system in the areas controlled by the Council. I have also worked on the design and construction of various land reclamation
schemes.

( E ) In my civil engineering career ( 1972 to date) I have attended various courses, seminars,
exhibitions, meetings and presentations on various contractual, technical and legislative issues
associated with civil and municipal engineering industry, such as health and safety, budget monitoring
and control, project and staff management and administration, quality control, property development
control, material, plant and equipment and new methods of construction and maintenance and the use
of various computer software packages, (i.e. Windows 7 Professional, Internet and e-communications,
Walrus 1.5). However, I am prepared and willing to attend further training, if and when it becomes
necessary.
I speak, write and read English and Greek fluently and have studied the French language for six years
at secondary school. Also, in 1983 I have attended a six-months-long intense course of study in
German language provided by the German contractor at Mosul Dam, Iraq.

I have good communication and interpersonal skills and good computer literacy and I have been
dealing with all manner of people of many differing nationalities. Also, I enjoy swimming, hiking, cycling
and car, house and garden maintenance.
I have lived in Great Britain and studied and worked in its civil engineering industry for fourty years. I
have a full British car driving licence and I am a British Citizen with a British passport.
