Presentation made by Shruti Goswami of Vrindavan Public School in the stage 3 of Mathura Genius Award 2009 (Junior Level) organized by Paarth Educational Foundation (www.paarth.in)
2. INTRODUCTION
Brij is a land of meaningful divine messages.
The flute in the hands of Shri Krishna is not
merely a musical instrument but the breath of
godly love. Its mellifluous sound is a medium
That attracts the cows and draws the milkmaid
out of their homes for a divine delliance with
god.
3. THE GLORIOUS PAST OF
MATHURA
Mathura is among the most sacred pilgrimage
destination for Hindus.A chinese scholars
HUAN TGANG described that there are five
big buddhist temples, twenty buddhists monastaries and
three stupas built by Ashoka.
The media of artistic expression is usually red sand
stone with creamish spots on the buff
sand stone. Mathura was also famous for its music that
was attributed by Surdas ,Haridas and so on.
4. MATHURA IN PRESENT
Mathura having such a glorious past has
Drowned in the bucket of advancement in such a
Way that it does not reflect even a fraction of its
Past glory and grandeur.it is becoming advance but
there is not advancement in our thoughts,in our way
of living. There are many problems
in Mathura.For e.g.poor infrastructure,drains
connected to Yamuna,sanitary problems, water
shortage, poor transport system, increasing
desertification etc.
5. MATHURA OF MY DREAMS
In my dreams, Mathura should be a shaped
city which runs with advancement but also
represent its past as its past is the only thing
that attracts tourists here.I would like to see
my city as following:
6. 1. AN ECOFRIENDLY CITY
In my dreams I wanted to see every street of
the entire city covered with trees along it as
my city should be ecofriendly. But only with
planting trees our duty is not finished, we have
to take care of them.
7. 2. A WELL INFRASTRUCTURED
CITY
I desire that the old buildings which are in
danger of collapsing must be destroyed and in
place of them new, well- designed buildings
must be constructed.
8. 3. AN AGRICULTURAL CITY
I want that my city should promote agriculture
as it gives us food. But as the water of
Mathura is hard , agriculture is not
possible. But if we can develop a plant that can
convert hard water into soft water ,we can
make agriculture possible.
9. 4.A CITY WITH THE LARGEST NO. OF
WATER HARVESTING PLANS
I desire that my city should be called as the
hat
city with the largest number of rain water
harvesting plans. The buildings must consist of
a rain water harvesting plan. So that we can
conserve water for future.
10. 5.A city with shaped water supply
We need to shape waterpipes alignment for
better supply of water. We should also repair or
replace leaking pipes.
.
11. 6.A CITY CAUSING NO HARM TO
NATURE
For this the sewage disposal must be reduced.
The drains which are connected to river
Yamuna should be connected to another
pipeline that can dispose the sewage to a place
where it can cause no harm to nature.
12. CONCLUSION-through a poem
The Mathura of my dreams
Is like a beautiful stream
That represent its glorious past
And runs with the advancement fast
It should have rain water harvesting plans
Yamuna must have water for constructing dams
I wish I could shape it
I wish I could make it
The Mathura of my dreams
Is like a beautiful stream.
