Swiss pop sensation Bastian Baker has a growing community of fans. He was mainly using social networks like Facebook or twitter to reach his fans, which seemed to be great tools, as everybody is on these networks. But they are only marketing channels to generate awareness. Moreover, he was facing a major problem: he didn’t know who his fans were!
He was giving free valuable content, hoping that people will like his fan page, and maybe, once in a while, buy a gig ticket or buy a song. Moreover, publishing video clip on Youtube dropped the sales of his music on iTunes!
We are building tools for musicians to connect directly with their fans. We create the official mobile application of the musician.
The app is a mix between a social network around the musician, a way to distribute digital content to fans and a crowd-funding platform.
Fans get exclusives, like songs, videos or pictures, have access to events, interact with other fans, and have a way to SUPPORT the artist.
Our current business model – 2nd iteration
Platform thinking
175k raised in 3 slices (2 angels + Economic Promotion of Bern + STI Stiftung). However, last one is a personal loan.
Share story. We’ve found a customer for a first app (related to America’s Cup), then built an app for quotes (for us). Then we have approached Bastian Baker for to propose our music app.
