“Annotated Bibliography;” Understanding your Research
An annotated bibliography is both a record of your research and a way for you to know if
your sources are “pulling their weight.” You will have a minimum of seven and a maximum of
ten total sources for this assignment. Three of these sources need to be multimedia. Each source
will be cited and there will be an annotation of a minimum of 150 words about each source. One
paragraph will summarize each source’s argumentation, and a second will detail how the
sources’ argument will benefit your research. You can use sources you’ve found from the last
two essays.
Due on Friday, April 10th
, at 11:59pm. Use correct MLA-8 formatting for a works cited
page.
In assessment I will look for:
• 7- 10 sources, (including sources already used)
• Succinct, informative summaries written in your own words of the source’s arguments
• Thorough, thoughtful analysis of how you will use these arguments
• Adherence to appropriate conventions of English (Proofreading)
• Adherence to MLA-8 style and formatting
