We should lead a Krishna conscious life by fulfilling our daily responsibilities just as a cashier handles money or a businessman drives to a meeting, but with our ultimate interest and aim being to please and serve Krishna. We must take care of personal, family, and work obligations, but stay connected to Krishna and his devotees through spiritual preparation and activities. Leading such a life of duty while keeping our focus on Krishna will help us find victory.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

CHAPTER 18
THE ULTIMATE INSTRUCTION
If you listen to Krishna, victory is yours
If you don’t listen, you will be lost
You decide. The ball is in your court
Lesson-02
HOW CAN I PRACTICALLY LEAD A KRISHNA CONSCIOUS
LIFE IN TODAY’S SITUATION?
We should act like a cashier. A cashier handlesmillions
of dollarsand takes all responsibility for protectingthe
money but at the same time he is not attached to the
money, because he knows very well that he is not the
owner of money. Yet he is not neglectful in taking care of
money. With same attitudeone should do his prescribed
duty as a custodian takes care of the property.
We should take care of our personal needs, household
duties and family responsibilities nicely, but our ultimate
aim is to please Krishna and serve Krishna. How can this
be done?Just like a businessman. A businessman is
traveling in his car to reach a business meeting. He has to
know how much fuel there is in the car. He must take care
2. of the car and look after car’s maintenance so that it
works smoothly. But his ultimate interest is not in the car
but rather in the meeting. Even while sitting on back seat
of his car, he is thinking of his business and he is busy
making calls to his business partnersand preparing
presentationon his laptop. Similarly, every one of us
should fulfill our different responsibilities just as one has
to maintain his car, but our ultimate interest must be in
Krishna. We must be in connectionwith Krishna’s
devotees and we should be preparing ourselves spiritually.
