CHAPTER 13
BODY, SOUL AND SUPERSOUL
Krishna knows you better than you yourself do
So be careful in what you do& don’t think that no one is
watching you
Lesson-05
CAN’T I JUST USE MY OWN LOGIC AND IMAGINATION TO
KNOW KRISHNA?
Krishna is beyond our limited logic and faulty
imagination. Lord Caitanya has said that one should not
endeavor to understandGod through imaginary theories.
One can just hear about Krishna from Gita and
Bhagavatam and understandKrishna perfectly. Lord
Caitanya Himself demonstrated this through His own
childhood pastime.
Nimai throws his book in the river
Lord Caitanya was known as Nimai Pandit when He was
a boy. He was very scholarly. He wrote a book on nyaya -
shastra, the logical treaties. Once Nimai was travelling
with His fellow mate in a boat. Nimai reads His book to
His friend. The friend becomes morose after hearing it.
Nimai asks him why he was morose. His friend replies: “I
have also written a book on nyaya-shastra. But Your book
is so good that nobodywill read my book.”When Nimai
hears this, he immediately throws His book in the river.
His friend becomes surprised.
MORAL: Lord throws His book in the river indicating
that such endeavorsare not requiredin this agewhere
nobodyis intelligent enoughto understandnyaya-shastra
(the book of arguments). One needs onlychant Hare
Krishnaand hear from Gita and Bhagavatamto
understandKrishna. That is the best and yet simplest
process of God realization.
