Action without spiritual purpose is useless

HOW DOES A PERSON IN GOODNESS BEHAVE?
A person in goodness chooses his food that increases the
duration of life, purify one, give strength, health,
happiness and satisfaction. E.g. Food such as milk
products, sugar, rice, wheat, fruits and vegetables.
He does his duty perfectly according to scriptures,
without being attached to results.
He performs austerity with great faith and for the sake of
Krishna.
He gives charity out of duty, without expectation of
return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy
person. Charity given by King Shibi is a classic example,
who gave his own body in charity in order to protect a
pigeon. Anotherexample of charity in mode of goodness

2. is that of Maharaj Rantideva, who gave away his food to
all beggars and even dogs, although he was fasting for 48
days.
