Initial Plans
Emma Garthwaite
Initial Reaction
My initial reaction for this project was to make a magazine as I anted to do a
print based project. I want to do something based in the fashion industry
aimed at young women aged 17-24. I want to create something that is more
focused on wearable fashions rather than high end fashion that isn’t as
accessible. I want to make it so it covers the styles that are trending at the
moment therefore I can do different articles on different styles that are
trending such as street style. I’ve already started planning photos and outfits
along with models so I know exactly what I want to do within my magazine.
Mind Map
Mood Board
This is the type of photography I want within my magazines. I
would like it to be mainly fashion based within the street. This
is mainly for articles and adverts. I will use the studio for my
front cover to give it more of a clean cut look
Mood board
This is the type of fashion I would like to
include within my magazine. This is
mainly street style but I will be
incorporating other styles
Mood Board
More fashion inspiration for
my work
Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• Within my first mood board I can tell I want most of my
photography outside and on the street. This gives the fashion looks
an extra raw look to them and I like the idea of it. I also want to mix
and match trends and put them all in one magazine as I can tell by
my two fashion mood boards which include a lot of street style,
simple outfit ideas and denim.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
This will of helped me work out what photography choices and
clothing inspiration. It will definitely help me with the contents of my
magazine.
Mood board
Logos from other fashion
magazines
Mood boards
This is for my Fonts and what would be my colour
schemes. Im not planning my colour schemes at
the moment as I am going to work colour schemes
nto the photos that I take therefore the colours of
the clothes work with the colour schemes of the
pictures, Therefore there will be no set colour
scheme for my work.
