2. Initially I had mixed thoughts on this project as I didn’t know exactly what I
was going to make or how I was going to make it. I hadn't had much
experience on this kind of project before being set this task and so it seemed
quite daunting at first. Previous to this task I had created a short advert for
Irn-Bru that was around 60 seconds long and had to fit the theme of Irn-Bru.
However on this project I was allowed to create whatever I wanted. At first I
thought that would be much better however as I began to think I had too
many concepts that I wanted to run with. I had to make my project realistic so
I set myself some restrictions to make sure my concept was possible to
achieve.

5. All of the pictures I have collected reflect what I would like my final
product to look like. The colours are very dark due to the majority of
the images being taken at night. The colours seen don’t vary much
and are mainly white, black or grey. There are elements of browns
from dirt and fallen leaves. There is also a lot of mist shown this
adds to the scary theme as it obscures our vision even more. They
all give a feeling of being left in the open with endless places to go
whilst also being trapped with no where to run to. A lot of the
“creatures” that I have found seem to be humanoid but not
completely human at the same time. This adds to the horror as the
audience is not sure about what it is. That is where the majority of
the horror is made in these images, the mystery and sense of
unknowing scares us. I will use things that I have available to me to
try and make my setting look similar to the ones I have selected in
these images. However I am choosing not to include any shots of
the “creature” in my film as I don’t believe I would be able to create
a believable character and would instead leave my production
looking unprofessional.
6. I am wanting to film my production outside of college to give it a
realistic feeling. Because of this I am going to need to do some
research into what location(s) I am going to use to film my
production. At the moment I have a location in mind that would be
perfect for my production and is most likely where I am going to
film the majority, if not all, of my production. I will be getting all my
resources from college. First I need to come up with a solid list of
the shots I am going to use to see if there is any specialist
equipment I will need. Again I will need to come up with my shot
list to be certain if there are any techniques I need to be aware of
to make my production. I will be researching popular and effective
horror film techniques to add suspense to my film.
