The document is a research project by a 7th grade student on eco-villages. The objectives are to learn about eco-villages, interview classmates on their opinions, and design the concept for an eco-village area. An eco-village is defined as a human-scale settlement that is harmlessly integrated into the natural world to support human development indefinitely. It explores renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and waste power as well as water recycling and passive/active eco-house designs. A survey found most classmates felt an eco-house was the most comfortable living situation and considered eco-villages a promising concept for Russia.
