Twin City History
This is some of the history of Twin City. The few things I will be discussing are how Twin City got its
name, how and when twin city started, how big twin city is and how many people live in this area. I
will be adding my own thing like what I like to do for fun around twin city. Well way back there was
two towns Summit and Gray Mont where Hall is at that was Gray Mont and on the other side was
Summit. There was still one school but two very small towns side by side. Then one day the city hall
got together and said there is no reason to have to small towns side by side so they put them together
and they started calling it twin city. Because the two towns where the same looking but called
different. In 1921 the GREAT DEPRESSION

Kappa Alpha Theta And CASA Case Study
I am a Theta. I am for the child. As an undergraduate, pledging Theta at Phi chapter of Kappa Alpha
Theta has provided me with many opportunities to contribute to my community, especially through
our philanthropy work for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). For 25 years, Kappa Alpha
Theta and CASA have shared a common belief that every abused or neglected child should be loved,
have a safe home, and have the opportunities to succeed. A CASA provides a voice for children during
the juvenile court system. As children move from one foster home to the next, consumed by the legal
system they are too young to understand; a CASA becomes the one constant these children have.
CASA provides a helping hand to these children; they are fundamentally an extra set of eyes and ears
for these children. By getting to know the child, understanding his or her needs, a CASA advocates
and helps find the best permanent home for the child. I became aware of CASA during my first
member meeting at Theta and I instantly wanted to be part of our philanthropic ... Show more content

Some of us face more hardships than others, but we should use our resources to help those in need.
Dentistry will give me a platform to help others. Children of CASA do not have access to basic
necessities such as shoes and clothes and not alone have access to primary physicians or dentists.
There are thousands of children like children of CASA and even adults who do not have access to
proper medical care and dental care. Thus, as dentists, I aim to help the underprivileged population.
By devoting few hours of time as volunteer, weekly or monthly, I can impact someone s life. I can
serve as an advocate, use my resources, and share my knowledge to provide individuals with
comprehensive dental work and promote oral and general

Introduction To Enterprise Resource Planning ( Erp ) System
By: Robel Berhanu October, 2014 Abstract In the past, ERP systems were used in larger and only in
manufacturing companies. However, now a days, the use of ERP has changed and is extremely
comprehensive, any type of company, no matter what industry it falls in can implement ERP. SAP is
one of and the largest ERP system in the world. SAP software allows the integration of all units of an
organization s business operations in one system for planning, controlling and monitoring purpose.

In order for a software system to be considered ERP, it must provide a company with functionality for
more than one system. Small types of ERP systems, like QuickBooks, cover only two functions of an
organization (usually HR and Accounting). The main reason why I start my paper by introducing ERP
is because SAP is the largest ERP software in the market, so I will be using this word frequently
throughout the paper. If we don t know what an ERP is then it will be hard to understand SAP
software. What is SAP ERP software?
The abbreviation SAP stands for Systems Applications and Products for data processing.
The SAP software is the fourth largest company in the business market.
SAP system is a software package designed to combine all areas of a big company.
It provides solutions for financials, human resource, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and others.
All business processes and units are performed in one system and this allows sharing one common
information with all users. SAP software allows the integration of all units of an organization s
business operations in one system for planning, controlling and monitoring purpose. This means all
the information that is entered by HR, can be accessed by finance team and the vice versa. SAP is an
Enterprise Resource Planning system by SAP AG, company based in Germany. The word SAP comes

The Effect Of Concentration On The Electrical Energy...
Introduction: The Voltaic, or Daniel cell, is an electrochemical cell, invented in 1836 by a British
chemist, Frederic Daniel. The cell produces electricity through a redox reaction. The combined
electric potentials of two metals in the metal sulphate solution of the electrolyte generate voltage. If
the concentration of one of the electrolyte solutions is increased, the number of cations and anions
increase (depending on which electrolyte you increase), which increases the overall voltage potential
of the cell. Equilibrium conditions are not achieved when a current flow in the circuit. The cell
potential will usually be reduced by various mechanisms; this includes the development of over
potential. As the electrolyte concentrations change and the cell voltage is reduced, the cell will operate
for longer. The concentration of the salt bridge has to be such that it can effectively separate two
electrolyte solutions, but porous enough to allow the steady exchange of cations and anions between
the two electrolytes. The experiment uses a Voltaic cell to demonstrate the effect of concentration on
the electrical energy output. Hypothesis: The hypothesis put forward is that, as the salt bridge and the
Magnesium sulphate become more concentrated, the output of energy, measured in volts, will
subsequently become greater. This is because the combined electric potential will increase as the
concentration increases. There may also be a turning point where the electrical energy output

Myers Briggs Type Indicator Of Personality
Myers Briggs Type Indicator
Personality is a challenging trait to measure and many personality tests do not stand the test of time
once they are applied and researched. Why then, do we find it important to measure personality?
Isabel Briggs Myers once said It is up to each person to recognize his or her true preferences. I find
this statement to be true in theory and in practice. In today s social media, one of the most common
online quizzes or assessments I come across, is personality test. There appears to be countless ways to
find out one s personality type, but many have not been proven true or accurate. The Myers Briggs
Type Indicator, also known as the MBTI and it is a well known and established, personality inventory.
It is a way to do, as Isabel Briggs Myers said, to find and know your own preferences. The MBTI is
based on Carl Jung theories of personality types and commonly used today. It was developed by the
mother daughter team of Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers in order to assess personality
types. The MBTI was published in 1975 by the Consulting Psychologists Press, Inc. (The Myers
Briggs Foundation Isabel Briggs Myers 2014).
Test Description
The MBIT was meant to coincide with Jung s four dichotomies which Katharine Briggs and Isabel
Myers followed. After a great deal of research, they came up with a self report instrument with
questions on four separate dichotomies (Myers, Creation of the MBTI® Types, 2011). Much like Jung,

The Success Of Aston Martin
When one has a history of car racing talent, passion for automobiles and enthusiasm, one can start
their own car production and sales business. That s how the Aston Martin brand was started, born into
a garage by Lionel Matin and Robert Bamford.
After Lionel Martin emerged victorious out of the famed Aston Hill race, Aston Martin was founded
in the year 1913. The duo of Martin Bamford produced their first car 2 years later in 1915 by fitting a
four cylinder Coventry Simplex engine to a 1908 Isotta Fraschinni chassis. However, the First World
War shattered their plans of starting production as both car makers joined the army.
Down but not out, Aston Martin prevailed as soon as the War was over, with the company being
refunded to resume its activity. But soon after bad news again came by when Bamford left Aston
Martin in 1920. Luckily Martin found a wealthy investor Count Louis Zborowski who saw the true
potential of the brand and poured heavy funds into its rejuvenation.
Aston Martin produced vehicles to compete in the French Grand Prix in 1922.It gained fame by
appearing in some of the most popular races of that time, the cars also collected acclaim by setting

new shareholders in reviewing the leadership and strategy of the company. Aston Martin announced
they had appointed the Nissan executive Andy Palmer as their new CEO by 2014. As sales had been
declining, from 2015 Aston Martin sought new customers (particularly wealthy female buyers) with

Stanislavski On Theatre
Theatre must be represented without any limits, full of freedom, without any boundaries. There is no
such thing as correct theatre, it is the effect that is important. It is what it makes you feel. I want
theatre that blows your mind, make you cry of sadness, make you cry of joyfulness, go further than
one s imagination, I want theatre to change perspectives and lives. In this aspect I find similarities
with Artaud, that claims for the audience to be disturbed, to feel uncomfortable and to wake up the
unconscious of the spectator (Artaud, 1938). However, I believe that not necessarily the feeling of the
public should be of a discomfort, any feeling is valuable. On the other hand, Stanislavski believes that

Propaganda In Leni Riefenstahl s Triumph Of The Will
Triumph of the Will is a 1935 propaganda film directed, written and edited by Leni Riefenstahl. Nazi
leader Adolf Hitler ordered the film and participated in its making as an unofficial executive producer.
Triumph of the Will follows the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg, promoting the narrative of
Germany s return as a world power with Hitler as the peoples God like mesiah. Triumph of the Will
was released in 1935 and became a prominent example of propaganda in film history. Though Leni
Riefenstahl disputed the claim that her film was a propaganda piece, many contest that her work
glorified the power of the Nazi party and manipulated the German people in to blindly following the
will of Adolf Hitler. Today Triumph of the Will continues as a key representation of Nazi propaganda.

Riefenstahl after attending a Nazi rally was impressed with Hitler s charismatic presentation. Hitler

Trump Will Make Them Complain: Analysis of Why Don t We Complain?
In his article Why Don t We Complain? William F.Buckley, Jr. describes the increasingly timid
behaviour amoung Americans in inconsequential everyday events. Buckley further illustrates this shy
behaviour by recounting multiple personal anecdotes; Buckley then attempts to link this helpless, as
he calls it, behavior to the increasing level of political indifference within the United States of
America. It is my observation that the anecdotes utilized in the article appear to substantiate Buckley s
assertion as a result of the similarity between the political atmosphere and the seemingly insignificant
events; furthermore, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Comparison Of Charles And Bill Koch s Sources Of Power
The term power has in different occasions been described differently depending on different areas.
The areas that it would depend on are the person that is describing it, the time in which the description
is being made, and also the situation that leads to the description of the word power. A few people
have defined power as being in the position to do something even though there is some resistance.
Others define power as the ability to outmaneuver the opposing side. Due to power leads to someone s
will being done, this explains why many people struggle to be a position of power. There are constant
struggles amongst the people who want to be in the position of power, so that they can control the
other people in different fields (Anderson, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This kind of power comes into play when a person has the ability to influence how incentives will be
allocated in an organization. This could be in the form of salary increments, bonuses, promotions,
positive appraisals, and other ways. According to Haneberg (2012), Charles has this source of power
because he greatly influences how incentives should be allocated. At some point, when he terminated
Bill, he even handed out shares of stock to company executives who were loyal to him. This shows
that people within the company would want to side with him. This is just one of the few rewards that
he has utilized. The term expert power can also be seen within this company. Bill, being a chemical
engineer has the expertise needed with regard to handling the chemical activities of the company. This
can be seen even with the way he came up with projects that involved the use of chemicals, like the
cholesterol fighting drug which was called the onion pill. According to Anderson (1998), since he had
this expertise he felt that deserved more from the company that he was

Alzheimer s A Progressive And Fatal Disease Of The Brain
According to Alzheimer.net, forty four million people, worldwide, are diagnosed with Alzheimer s
disease. In the United States, one out of nine people over the age of 65 are diagnosed with this disease,
and it ranks as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Two out of three people diagnosed
with Alzheimer s are women. Five point three million dollars are depleted every year from citizens
diagnosed with Alzheimer s. Alzheimer s is a progressive and fatal disease of the brain (Lu Bludua,
2011). This brain disease leads to deterioration of the brain, which leads to dementia. Dementia is the
loss of memory and mental abilities severe enough to affect the daily life (Lu Bludua, 2011). It begins
at the memory control center of the brain, and then progresses to the portions of the brain that control
reasoning, thinking, speaking, and seeing; therefore, it damages all parts of the brain.
According to Lu and Bludau, Alzheimer s influences many aspects such as the organ system, tissue,
cells, and organelles. The organ system affected is the brain, which performs numerous crucial tasks.
This disease impinges on the control center for all bodily functions. The vital body function that the
disease affects in the brain consist of: thinking, seeing, hearing, breathing, and body movements. It
hinders storing and making of memories and hinders the aptitude to feel emotions. There are three
parts of the brain: the cerebrum, the brain stem, and the cerebellum. The

We Shall Overcome Rhetorical Analysis
Martin Luther King Jr. once said that, Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be
demanded by the oppressed. During the time period (1850s) in which Frederick Douglass gave a
speech entitled The Hypocrisy of American Slavery, slavery was still a prominent feature of American
society, especially in the Southern States. Douglass, like many others, was an abolitionist, someone
who advocates the abolition or ending of something, such as slavery. Douglass s speech was intended
to shine a light on what he called the hypocritical practice of slavery within the United States of
America. Lyndon B. Johnson on the other hand, was the 36th president of the United States of
America (1963 1969), and he served during a period in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In We Shall Overcome, Johnson also employs pathos when he asserts ...we are met here tonight as
Americans not as Democrats or Republicans. We are met here as Americans to solve that problem. By
using restatement of the phrase we are met here as Americans, Johnson develops the literary device of
pathos by eliciting feelings of patriotism within his audience. The feelings of patriotism in turn call for
compassion based on equality from Johnson s audience. In addition, by saying the term American,
Johnson s audience would be able to realize the nature of the treatment of fellow Americans (African
Americans such as Martin Luther King Jr.) and possibly lead to change. Overall, the application of
pathos by Douglass and Johnson sparks emotions that can lead to societal transformations. Douglass
and Johnson use parallelism, which is the use of components in a sentence that are grammatically the
same, and they also use anaphora, which is the repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of
successive clauses, to further their arguments to affect change in their communities. For example, in
his speech, Douglass, when speaking about what African Americans do, states ...digging gold in
California, capturing the whale in the Pacific, feeding sheep and cattle on the hillside... which is
parallelism due to the structure of the phrase, beginning with a verb and leading

My Career Path For My Life
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was eight years old. I noticed that the first three

My artistic abilities have helped me choose my career path in film that I want to peruse for the rest of

Robert Frost Poem Analysis
When looking at both Robert Frost s and Emily Dickinson s poems about darkness and night, several
things are brought to light. This includes the different point of views provided by the speaker, the
imagery left for the reader to depict, the structure of each poem, and how both poems connect to each
other. In each of the two poems, the speakers have contrasting opinions on the idea of darkness and
the night. In Emily Dickinson s poem, the speaker presents themself with optimism within the phrases,
The Bravest grope a little / And sometimes hit a Tree/ Directly in the Forehead / But as they learn to

Suddenly they have reached the end of the city limits where everything past them is polluted by the
darkness of the night. The imagery in both of these poems is very strong. In terms of the two poem s
structure, there are different literary elements at play as well as creative uses of the poem s set up. In
both of the two poems there are occasional rhymes, but no set rhyme scheme. As for punctuation in
the two, there seems to be no pattern. In Emily Dickinson s poem she uses hyphens to show an
unfinished thought at the end of a line or within a line. In Robert Frost s poem he uses a variety of
literary elements to get his story across to his intended audience. One of the literary elements that he
uses is anaphora, the repetition of a word, phrase, or clause at the beginning of two or more sentences
in a row. Additionally, Robert Frost uses personification, a figure of speech in which something
nonhuman is given human characteristics. This is present when the speaker says, I have looked down
the saddest city lane. (l 4) This is an example of personification because the act or emotion of sadness
is a human one that can not be expressed by a city lane. With all of this in mind, it is easy to conclude
that the structure of the two poems are irregular. While analyzing the context of the two poems and
their connection to each other, it is important to remember the central theme of darkness and of the
night. Both poems have a heavy emphasis of

The Night Of The Living Dead
The true origins of zombies and the undead can likely be traced back to the stories men and women
first told around campfires. They certainly date back to the origins of written language in tales such as
the epic of Gilgamesh, and have taken on many different attributes through the generations. The
shambling creatures that were first displayed in the movie titled The Night of the Living Dead are
what many would consider today to be the typical representation of the modern zombie story (Estes,
2012).
The zombies in the story Meathouse Man by George R. R. Martin do not follow this trend. They are
throwbacks to, and futuristic interpretations of, the Hattian zombie that is often acknowledged to be
the modern origin of today s zombie mythology.

Differences Between People Will Always Lead to Conflict.
Differences between people will always lead to conflict.
H. Norman Wright once stated Every person is different. Yet often, those differences are not
understood or valued by others. Conflict is an inevitable part of human relationships. Depending on
how it is approached and managed, conflict can be either constructive or destructive. Conflict arises
when people disagree over something perceived as important. We live in communities and families
with people who may not see things as we do. Conflicts occur on a daily basis, sometimes as small
disputes, sometimes as violent battles and each person will respond to conflicts based on their own
particular personality and cultural background. People have different motivations, beliefs, values ...

unstable atmosphere from the aftermath of World War 1 as Bruce Crowther, author of the book Film
Noir: Reflections in a Dark Mirror , elaborates on how Film Noir films produce a dark quality that
derived as much from the character s depiction as from the cinematographer s art. These dark moods
are transparent through the key features of the femme fatale, the film techniques and the impact of the
Hay s code on American film and American society.
Film Noir as a genre is set in a specific period of time. It is also a genre that is considered to be related
to a specific society that of America from 1940 1958. Film Noir as a genre is a term that French critic
Nino Frank coined to describe the new film movement emerging from Hollywood in the 1940 s,
which appeared to be black and white, crime and detective films. But these two prominent
characteristics do not form the genre alone. Stylistic film features such as mood, style and tone are
very eminent in Film Noir however it was not always considered as a film genre, but this is what
makes the film genre so distinctive. Film Noir was a new movement or cycle of films as it consisted of

How Intifada Affected the Peace Process in the Middle East...
The First Intifada changed the direction of the peace process and affected every Palestinians life. The
Intifada was a mass movement against the Israeli authority through boycotts, civil disobedience and
general strikes. Israel reacted to the Intifada by deploying 80,000 troops to stop the uprising by
breaking Palestinians bones [Footnote]. The Oslo Accords were signed by both Israel and Palestine to
end the Intifada and create a stable peace which gave Palestinians freedom and Israelis security. The
Palestinian Liberation Organisation was recognised by Israel and to represent the Palestinian people in
future summits. The accords failed to give either country what they desired and were never a final
solution to the Middle East Crisis. Due to the failure of the Oslo accords and subsequent agreements
the Palestinian people marched in protest of worsening conditions. The Second Intifada came soon
after the failure of the Camp David Summit suggesting the lack of a political solution results in
increased tension and outbursts of violence . The peace process was hugely aided by the Intifada as the
First Oslo Accord was agree to end the rebellion. The uprising was primarily a reaction to the killing
of four Palestinians but developed into a countrywide demonstration after more were killed at the
funerals by Israeli troops. They demanded an end to Israel s control over occupied territories . If the
Palestinians were granted this it would increase the likelihood of a

Madonna Of Stairs
Known as one of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance, Michelangelo was born on March 6th,
1475 to a noble family in Florentine, Italy. At the age of only 13, Michelangelo was apprenticed to
Domenico Ghirlandaio, and placed him in a studio to learn the fundamentals of art. He only worked
there for about a year after Lorenzo de Medici invited him to his home to work as an artist for them.
One of the most renowned work from his teen years was the marble sculpture called The Madonna of
Stairs , which was famous for the muscle that he applied to the art. After the death of Lorenzo the
Magnificent, Michelangelo traveled to many places, one of them being Rome during the time of Pope
Alexander VI. In 1498, he was commissioned to

The Subtext of Violence in Henry James The Wings of theDove: The Sacrificial Crisis
A reading of Henry James 1902 novel The Wings of theDove is particularly fitting for this issue
ofSchuylkill for several reasons. This late novel is rife withrepresentations of multiple, often
overlapping subject positionsthat the close reader is forced to reckon with. These subjectpositions
include, but are not limited to, James as authorand as a self referring subject of the novel s Preface,
who perceives and performs outside of the designation of author. The reader must also consider James
unreliable narrator as asubject who functions as both detached observer and protagonist, and whose

The key component of any sacrifice, according to Girard, isthis scapegoat the sacrificial substitute.
This substitutemetonymically stands in for the member of the community who isresponsible for the
violence. Thus the scapegoat plays atheatrical role that requires a degree of dissimulation. First,
thescapegoat must both vaguely resemble and considerably differ fromthe subject it replaces. The
ambiguous characteristics of thesacrificial substitute ensures that because of its similarity tothe
instigator of the unrest, violence is actually contained. Onthe other hand, the dissimilarity of the
sacrificial substitute tothe original subject ensures that no retaliation, retribution orvengeance, that is,
no further escalation of violence results afterthe sacrifice is performed. Through this process the
scapegoat istransformed by the community into an object in which evil can beboth specified and
assuaged. The sacrificial substitute contains that is, it provides a space for and delimits violenceby
providing a legitimate outlet for it.
By ascribing to a scapegoat the ills of the community, andthen eliminating these ills by murdering the
scapegoat, thecommunity redeems itself it saves itself from self engenderedannihilation by
reestablishing necessary hierarchical distinctionsand power relations. In this

Social Movements Against Bidding For Sports Mega Events
Social Movements against Bidding for Sport Mega events: A Case Study of the 2024 Summer
Olympics
Introduction
Governments currently show great interest in sport mega events investment since that they may have
the opportunity to stimulate economic development, create international image and prestige, generate
a feel good factor among citizens and inspire grassroots participation (Grix and Carmichael, 2012).
Moreover, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) states that their critical mission is to promote a
positive legacy from the Olympic Games to the host countries (International Olympic Committee,
2007, p.15), although legacy is hard to define or measure and could be both positive and negative in
practice (Agha, et al. 2012). In particular, emerging states like China, South Africa and Brazil have
managed to bid for the Olympics or the World Cup. The use of hosting sport mega events to enhance
their soft power and achieve equal positions in global affairs has been highlighted in recent years
(Grix and Lee, 2013).
However, the effect of sport mega events has been challenged, questioning whether to host these
events or not (Lauermann, 2015). As Chalip points out, host countries may fail to make preparations
for the staging of sport mega events and encounter the risk of soft disempowerment. Meanwhile, anti
Olympics social campaigns have arisen in many advanced capitalist countries. Consequently, they
have had a considerable influence on the bids for sport mega events

There will be no formulated statements from non parametric analysis in regard to the information that
is presented by the researcher. The ANOVA, (analysis of variation) is a commomlly used method of
non parametric. The researcher does an analysis with the ANOVA to see if there is a differentation
among groups, and if the mean of them are the same. With a null hypothesis the ANOVA will
determine if the information that has been presented has the same means, while with the alternative
hypothesis it will determine if the information has defferent means. CTU Online, (2013)
There is a one way method and a two way method for an ANOVA analysis that can be used by the
researcher. There is only one factor for the researcher to test for equality of the presented information
in the one way method, and the two way mwthod allows for distinguishing if there may be another
factor. * Chi Square Distribution Use
Two types of information can typically be generarted when variables have no pattern, categorical or
numerical. Researchers employ using the chi square distribution in order to unmask the distinctions
and to see if they are independent. Categorical variables are specific variables with no fixed numerical
value, and numerical type variables are numerical. In this

How Does Temperature Affect The Permeability Of The Plasma...
Introduction
Membranes contain phospholipid bilayer these are two layers of phospholipids which are facing in
opposite directions to each other. The non polar tails are hydrophobic which are water hating, what
makes it difficult for polar molecules/ions to pass through them are the fatty acid tails which also act
as a barrier to water soluble substances. These molecules move in and out of the cell by diffusion,
osmosis and active transport. Diffusion is the net movement of particles down a concentration gradient
for example when gases move about and will move from where there is a high concentration to where
they are in lower concentration. By osmosis, the diffusion of water through the plasma membrane is
possible because the lipids bilayers are water resistant to important molecules and small molecules
like oxygen and carbon dioxide, these molecules and ions diffuse freely across the cell membrane. By
active transport, ions and molecules are forced using metabolic energy to move against their
concentrated gradient. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will lead to a higher reading on the colorimeter. At about 59°C proteins start to become denatured
losing their shape preventing the normal movement of substances in and out of the cell. Above 60°C
proteins become totally denatured. At these temperatures the fatty acid melts leading to a reduced
stability of the membrane.
Betalain are the red coloured pigment which happens in the vacuoles of the beetroot cell, a membrane
called the tonoplast is what surrounds each vacuole. The leakage of the beetroot red coloured pigment
which is the Betalain, out of the cell will determine how permeable the cell membrane is at a certain
time. As the water gets darker by the dye more light is

The few things I will be discussing are how Twin City got its name, how and when twin city started, how big twin city is and how many people live in this area. I will be adding my own thing like what I like to do for fun around twin city. Well way back there was two towns Summit and Gray Mont where Hall is at that was Gray Mont and on the other side was Summit. There was still one school but two very small towns side by side. Then one day the city hall got together and said there is no reason to have to small towns side by side so they put them together and they started calling it twin city. Because the two towns where the same looking but called different. In 1921 the GREAT DEPRESSION ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As an undergraduate, pledging Theta at Phi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta has provided me with many opportunities to contribute to my community, especially through our philanthropy work for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). For 25 years, Kappa Alpha Theta and CASA have shared a common belief that every abused or neglected child should be loved, have a safe home, and have the opportunities to succeed. A CASA provides a voice for children during the juvenile court system. As children move from one foster home to the next, consumed by the legal system they are too young to understand; a CASA becomes the one constant these children have. CASA provides a helping hand to these children; they are fundamentally an extra set of eyes and ears for these children. In order for a software system to be considered ERP, it must provide a company with functionality for more than one system. Small types of ERP systems, like QuickBooks, cover only two functions of an organization (usually HR and Accounting). The main reason why I start my paper by introducing ERP is because SAP is the largest ERP software in the market, so I will be using this word frequently throughout the paper. If we don t know what an ERP is then it will be hard to understand SAP software. What is SAP ERP software? The abbreviation SAP stands for Systems Applications and Products for data processing. The SAP software is the fourth largest company in the business market. SAP system is a software package designed to combine all areas of a big company. • 5. The Effect Of Concentration On The Electrical Energy... Introduction: The Voltaic, or Daniel cell, is an electrochemical cell, invented in 1836 by a British chemist, Frederic Daniel. The cell produces electricity through a redox reaction. The combined electric potentials of two metals in the metal sulphate solution of the electrolyte generate voltage. If the concentration of one of the electrolyte solutions is increased, the number of cations and anions increase (depending on which electrolyte you increase), which increases the overall voltage potential of the cell. Equilibrium conditions are not achieved when a current flow in the circuit. The cell potential will usually be reduced by various mechanisms; this includes the development of over potential. As the electrolyte concentrations change and the cell voltage is reduced, the cell will operate for longer. The concentration of the salt bridge has to be such that it can effectively separate two electrolyte solutions, but porous enough to allow the steady exchange of cations and anions between the two electrolytes. The experiment uses a Voltaic cell to demonstrate the effect of concentration on the electrical energy output. Hypothesis: The hypothesis put forward is that, as the salt bridge and the Magnesium sulphate become more concentrated, the output of energy, measured in volts, will subsequently become greater. This is because the combined electric potential will increase as the concentration increases. There may also be a turning point where the electrical energy output ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Myers Briggs Type Indicator Of Personality Myers Briggs Type Indicator Personality is a challenging trait to measure and many personality tests do not stand the test of time once they are applied and researched. Why then, do we find it important to measure personality? Isabel Briggs Myers once said It is up to each person to recognize his or her true preferences. I find this statement to be true in theory and in practice. In today s social media, one of the most common online quizzes or assessments I come across, is personality test. There appears to be countless ways to find out one s personality type, but many have not been proven true or accurate. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator, also known as the MBTI and it is a well known and established, personality inventory. It is a way to do, as Isabel Briggs Myers said, to find and know your own preferences. The MBTI is based on Carl Jung theories of personality types and commonly used today. It was developed by the mother daughter team of Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers in order to assess personality types. The MBTI was published in 1975 by the Consulting Psychologists Press, Inc. (The Myers Briggs Foundation Isabel Briggs Myers 2014). Test Description The MBIT was meant to coincide with Jung s four dichotomies which Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers followed. After a great deal of research, they came up with a self report instrument with questions on four separate dichotomies (Myers, Creation of the MBTI® Types, 2011). Much like Jung, their questions ... It is what it makes you feel. I want theatre that blows your mind, make you cry of sadness, make you cry of joyfulness, go further than one s imagination, I want theatre to change perspectives and lives. In this aspect I find similarities with Artaud, that claims for the audience to be disturbed, to feel uncomfortable and to wake up the unconscious of the spectator (Artaud, 1938). In both of the two poems there are occasional rhymes, but no set rhyme scheme. As for punctuation in the two, there seems to be no pattern. In Emily Dickinson s poem she uses hyphens to show an unfinished thought at the end of a line or within a line. The shambling creatures that were first displayed in the movie titled The Night of the Living Dead are what many would consider today to be the typical representation of the modern zombie story (Estes, 2012). The zombies in the story Meathouse Man by George R. R. Martin do not follow this trend. They are throwbacks to, and futuristic interpretations of, the Hattian zombie that is often acknowledged to be the modern origin of today s zombie mythology. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Differences Between People Will Always Lead to Conflict. Differences between people will always lead to conflict. H. Norman Wright once stated Every person is different. Yet often, those differences are not understood or valued by others. Conflict is an inevitable part of human relationships. Depending on how it is approached and managed, conflict can be either constructive or destructive. Conflict arises when people disagree over something perceived as important. We live in communities and families with people who may not see things as we do. Conflicts occur on a daily basis, sometimes as small disputes, sometimes as violent battles and each person will respond to conflicts based on their own particular personality and cultural background. Afghanistan is a multiethnic society, each ethnic group attempting to stake out their own territory and the Taliban s Islamic laws opposed the beliefs and values of other cultures in Afghanistan, this discrepancy instigated the ongoing civil war in Afghanistan Three decades of war made Afghanistan the world s most dangerous country, including the largest producer of refugees and asylum seekers. Decades of fighting have created millions of refugees; families have been torn apart and thousands of villages have been demolished in the fighting leaving Afghanis with little alternative but to flee. Over the past decades Australia has accepted thousands of refugees from Afghanistan that take a treacherous journey by boat to flee the war in search of a new and peaceful life. When refugees came to Australia they are put into detention centres for a period of time while their refugee statuses are being processed. Refugees from Afghanistan respond to conflict in different ways some through having a positive mind, some with hope, fear, denial and most of all with self sacrifice. People having opposing religious beliefs in Afghanistan transformed it into warfare, affecting millions of innocent people in Afghanistan. • 23. Film Genre As A Reflection Of Film And American Society Genre is a reflection of society. Film noir is a genre that has a distinctive relationship with the American society from 1941 1958 because it reflects America s fears and concerns from when they experienced major upheaval after The Great Depression and during World War I. In particular, the unstable atmosphere from the aftermath of World War 1 as Bruce Crowther, author of the book Film Noir: Reflections in a Dark Mirror , elaborates on how Film Noir films produce a dark quality that derived as much from the character s depiction as from the cinematographer s art. These dark moods are transparent through the key features of the femme fatale, the film techniques and the impact of the Hay s code on American film and American society. Film Noir as a genre is set in a specific period of time. It is also a genre that is considered to be related to a specific society that of America from 1940 1958. Film Noir as a genre is a term that French critic Nino Frank coined to describe the new film movement emerging from Hollywood in the 1940 s, which appeared to be black and white, crime and detective films. But these two prominent characteristics do not form the genre alone. Stylistic film features such as mood, style and tone are very eminent in Film Noir however it was not always considered as a film genre, but this is what makes the film genre so distinctive. Film Noir was a new movement or cycle of films as it consisted of expressionistic lighting techniques such as low ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. How Intifada Affected the Peace Process in the Middle East... The First Intifada changed the direction of the peace process and affected every Palestinians life. The Intifada was a mass movement against the Israeli authority through boycotts, civil disobedience and general strikes. Israel reacted to the Intifada by deploying 80,000 troops to stop the uprising by breaking Palestinians bones [Footnote]. The Oslo Accords were signed by both Israel and Palestine to end the Intifada and create a stable peace which gave Palestinians freedom and Israelis security. The Palestinian Liberation Organisation was recognised by Israel and to represent the Palestinian people in future summits. The accords failed to give either country what they desired and were never a final solution to the Middle East Crisis. Due to the failure of the Oslo accords and subsequent agreements the Palestinian people marched in protest of worsening conditions. The Second Intifada came soon after the failure of the Camp David Summit suggesting the lack of a political solution results in increased tension and outbursts of violence . The peace process was hugely aided by the Intifada as the First Oslo Accord was agree to end the rebellion. The uprising was primarily a reaction to the killing of four Palestinians but developed into a countrywide demonstration after more were killed at the funerals by Israeli troops. They demanded an end to Israel s control over occupied territories . If the Palestinians were granted this it would increase the likelihood of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This substitutemetonymically stands in for the member of the community who isresponsible for the violence. Thus the scapegoat plays atheatrical role that requires a degree of dissimulation. First, thescapegoat must both vaguely resemble and considerably differ fromthe subject it replaces. The ambiguous characteristics of thesacrificial substitute ensures that because of its similarity tothe instigator of the unrest, violence is actually contained. Onthe other hand, the dissimilarity of the sacrificial substitute tothe original subject ensures that no retaliation, retribution orvengeance, that is, no further escalation of violence results afterthe sacrifice is performed. Through this process the scapegoat istransformed by the community into an object in which evil can beboth specified and assuaged. • 29. Social Movements Against Bidding For Sports Mega Events Social Movements against Bidding for Sport Mega events: A Case Study of the 2024 Summer Olympics Introduction Governments currently show great interest in sport mega events investment since that they may have the opportunity to stimulate economic development, create international image and prestige, generate a feel good factor among citizens and inspire grassroots participation (Grix and Carmichael, 2012). Moreover, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) states that their critical mission is to promote a positive legacy from the Olympic Games to the host countries (International Olympic Committee, 2007, p.15), although legacy is hard to define or measure and could be both positive and negative in practice (Agha, et al. 2012). In particular, emerging states like China, South Africa and Brazil have managed to bid for the Olympics or the World Cup. The use of hosting sport mega events to enhance their soft power and achieve equal positions in global affairs has been highlighted in recent years (Grix and Lee, 2013). However, the effect of sport mega events has been challenged, questioning whether to host these events or not (Lauermann, 2015). As Chalip points out, host countries may fail to make preparations for the staging of sport mega events and encounter the risk of soft disempowerment. Meanwhile, anti Olympics social campaigns have arisen in many advanced capitalist countries. Consequently, they have had a considerable influence on the bids for sport mega events ... • 32. How Does Temperature Affect The Permeability Of The Plasma... Introduction Membranes contain phospholipid bilayer these are two layers of phospholipids which are facing in opposite directions to each other. The non polar tails are hydrophobic which are water hating, what makes it difficult for polar molecules/ions to pass through them are the fatty acid tails which also act as a barrier to water soluble substances. These molecules move in and out of the cell by diffusion, osmosis and active transport. Diffusion is the net movement of particles down a concentration gradient for example when gases move about and will move from where there is a high concentration to where they are in lower concentration. By osmosis, the diffusion of water through the plasma membrane is possible because the lipids bilayers are water resistant to important molecules and small molecules like oxygen and carbon dioxide, these molecules and ions diffuse freely across the cell membrane. By active transport, ions and molecules are forced using metabolic energy to move against their concentrated gradient. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This will lead to a higher reading on the colorimeter. At about 59°C proteins start to become denatured losing their shape preventing the normal movement of substances in and out of the cell. Above 60°C proteins become totally denatured. At these temperatures the fatty acid melts leading to a reduced stability of the membrane. Betalain are the red coloured pigment which happens in the vacuoles of the beetroot cell, a membrane called the tonoplast is what surrounds each vacuole.
