Step 1: Multiply top and bottom 10, 100, 1000 etc
Step 2: Simplify further by dividing
How do we know to multiply top and button with which number?
For example 0.4 check the digits after decimal if it is one digit multiply with 10 if 0.45
two multiply with 100 if it is 0.456 multiply with 1000 and so on
7. Convert a percentage to a decimal
A percentage is converted to a decimal number by dividing with hundred.
For example:
65%= 65/100=0.065

12. To convert fraction to a %
A fraction is converted in to a percentage by multiplying with 100.
Example: What is ⅝ as a percent?
Get your calculator and type in "5 ÷ 8 =", the calculator should show 0.625
Then multiply by 100 and your answer is: 62.5%
(Remember to put the "%" sign so people know it is "per 100"
